The reason why Gabriel can’t say “no” to the vampire or refuse his advances because deep down he also wants it too, (the vampire says in one chapter “a priest with many desires” smthin like that) also he’s a vampire he can use his powers to scare or intimidate people away. (Honestly, he’d be better off as a demon because he’s too OP as a vampire) this can be seen when father Domingo responds to Gabriel’s scream for help in ch9, the moment he looks into the vampire’s eyes, he’s scared and obeys his command or whatever to ignore what’s happening

volume 5 of caste heaven was released on july 10! i was one of the lucky ones who were able to preorder it before it got sold out on other websites,,
basically, vol.5 isn't worth it i guess, there's no progress in the plot. All of the characters (except Tatsumi and Senzaki) goes on a fieldtrip in Kyoto, (as seen here, all of the chapters were uploaded for vol.5) the whole volume is just full of fillers. Once the fieldtrip is over, everyone resumes back to their normal lives, with of course, the caste game still controlling them. Azusa comes back to school, and everyone glares at him, later on, Atsumu, Kuze and Azusa visit Tatsumi in the library who reveals that the character (from vol.4 the one with long hair and shades) is the one behind the game (?) so in vol.6 that's when the actual antagonist (?) or plot will move. (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ i suggest you also play their mobile game on the Ameba website, (it's in Japanese though and you need an Ameba acc). It's really cool and fully voiced (on some parts). Can't wait for other volumes to come out!
i have vols.1-4 irl and what i understood in vol.4 is:
Sachiko (Ikuro's wife) decides to hang out more with Ranzou, (i dunno why) and Ranzou's personal butler gets jealous and attempts to kidnap her / murder her. Sachiko eventually finds out and forgives him, Ikuro and Norihiko grew distant because of what happened in volume 3 (where Ikuro got raped). He even threw a plate at Norihiko's right eye, hence he wears an eyepatch for the entire book.
Later on in volume 4, Norihiko and Ranzou's butler talk about something at the shack-like place and Ikuro eavesdrop to hear what they are talking about, Norihiko catches him and tells Ranzou's butler that he can do whatever he pleases with Ikuro. And yes, Ikuro gets raped by Ranzou's butler.
After that, Ikuro plans to burn the whole mansion down so he made everyone leave. He even made Sachiko sign the divorce papers, which his wife refuses to do so. Norihiko visits Ikuro and they both do it, and the fire starts. Ranzou runs back to the mansion and saves only Ikuro, not Norihiko. (He dashed away very quickly). There's one panel where Norihiko gets engulfed by the flames.
Ikuro and Ranzou are discovered by Ikuro's old college friend, and that's it for the meantime.
Damn I knew Ranzou’s butler is a creep too but not this much. He is just like Norihiko but with more self-restraint. I never understood why ppl would ship him with Ranzou. As long as Ikurou, Sachiko, and Ranzou gets an happy ending, I am happy. The rest (minus the college friend) can all burn and die.
