bro has ocd guys. All those "world will end if i dont cross the crosswalk in 3 seconds", "if i dont get 3.0 gpa i cant find a job" stuff is ocd related. He has obsessions and he does compulsions to relife himself. Consistent with his poor academic life and insomnia. Yay.

Author is also crazy guys. It's freak vs freak. There is literally no sane explanation for what he did. They are perfect for each other bc they feed off of each others delusions. I love this story so much oof.
