I would say it really depends from person to person. I went from single lobe piercings to an industrial so I only have 3 piercings. But I will highly recommend that you take an anti inflammatory like naproxen sodium (drug name not brand name) for a few days starting from right after you get the piercing. This will significantly lower the throbbing ......
