believe it or not, some people genuinely do like the idea of sex, even when they aren't horny. for some people (including me), sex is about intimacy and feeling loved. and for a lot of people, they don't consider sex "gross", even with the "considerable exchange of saliva, sweat, semen, hairs, or any other body fluids", as you put it.
