Genuine question: why is it only korean bl authors making noise tho? What about gl/sl manhwa or even bl manga authors??? I don't hear anyone complaining that poor and underage people exist lmao Also it's the authors of the bls with atleast one romanticized rape scene and have messed up plots. So I never really cared for the ones that got taken down......

I ain't know law expert but this just seems like a twitter movement with no real backing behind it. Most of these authors have a publisher (LezhinComics kakao etc) in America if you want to report your work you send a dmca request for copyright infringement. These publishers basically 'own' their work too so they both would have to file for copyrig......
