Damn, I know it's not what this author intended, but this whole webtoon shows why I would never want to live in Korea. A society were elders need to be respected unconditionally. You can't even talk about how they treat their children, because just assuming they mistreat them would be disrespectful. A situation where you could easily call child services turns into a situation where you fault the child and bow down to the parents.
Is there any other evidence apart from this story showing Korea like this?Manhwa n other media shouldn't be looked as totally factual.I dont know much about S.Korea myself anyway but I guess its kinda known that traditionally,in (east esp?)asian countries like korea place value on elders,iirc.
I mean if it’s a repeated topic throughout sk media it’s safe to say that there is a problem with elders and respect and nohome despite being a comedic Manwha doesnt exaggerate it and picks up the subtleties of having to be overly respectful to elders
Yes its a known issue in Korea. That's why in Korea, elders are entitled.
