Okay, hold on. I just finished chap 7….
Someone please explain what I’m missing.
So it’s clear she likes the silver haired dude.
So why was it so complicated about just telling her brother “actually I’ve seen the duke, i wanna marry him”
Why did it end up her resenting him??
Why not MAYBE the emperor didn’t allow the duke to meet her instead of the duke not wanting to?
I get that the brother wanted to protect her, but for all he knows, the sister didn’t want the marriage at all.
But she clearly wanted the marriage after finding out who the duke was.
Am I tripping or is the fl dumb?????
Like poor duke???? Hello???

What I understood was that she wanted honesty and a bond. She didn’t know who the duke was at first and wanted to meet him and speak to him personally. To her, she was getting forcefully married to some stranger. After finding out who he was she was confused probably had questions and probably wanted to feel his sincerity by measuring his love by his actions. But, he couldn’t do as she wished because he was hit with a fever and couldn’t talk to her. It was honestly misunderstandings.

She did not know he was a Duke. She resented him because the letter basically asked why he hid his identify and was he serious about her bc she had already had fallen for him. The man she had fallen for was getting married to her but he didn’t even want to have a conversation or so she thought. She would assume the Duke didn’t want to see her because he was freely walking around her garden when she met him. I would say the FL is naive, she just assumes and comes to conclusions on her own without really trying to ascertain other options to the problem.
I love it when revenge isn’t just about killing the target. To make them live in filth and misery
