I agree. Jaekyung doesn’t have to turn into some super nice person to me tho, I’d even be fine if he still has a few aspects of his assholeish ways cuz that jist seems like his core personality. First of all, the mc has little brother (hes an actor) who got involved with this very respectable ricuh old man, due to some circumstances in the past with their toxic mother who only doted on the mc while the brother got neglected. The mc felt like he owed smth to his little brother, hence why he went so far to got involved in this ‘video’ so people or news would never know about his brother’s secret. Cause the mc knew how much he loved being an actor and he didn’t want to destroy his life just like their mother did.

That’s actually the very first plot. But then when the mc found out the old man left his brother “some” of his fortune, he got greedy and involved himself way deeper than he expected and things went complicated from there. Why the mc got greedy? It’s only in his nature,

1. He’s a lawyer, a very smart one, but he got ‘cheated’ by his sex partner in previous work that he got outed so he left that company, and join this entertainment company in law division that he may feel still below his previous workplace
2. He’s pretty ambitious, he wanted to show those people who wronged him in the past that he can be better than them, by owning his own company (if you already reached certain chapters you would know).
3. He doesn’t have such a significant authority, that’s why he got caught in several drama one after another because he’s still just a guy with enough salary in his pocket, he’s pretty smart I give him that (not about his love life though).

Those parts I understand, it’s mostly the deed, Woo Jaeyeon, the 300 shares or smthn, MC having a copy kf the deed??? (Why does that matter exactly?) relationship between Woo Jayeon and ML (they are both fighting over the will/deed??) and the whole thing with MC talking about the guy being present for the will and how it’s like forfeit bc he was present (?)

As well as the whole relationship with MC and ML. It’s all very confusing to me. I know Mc took the fall for his brother bc he felt bad and the whole relationship the brother had with old guy and that MC does care about him and I also know he’s ambitious and greedy.

I’m super dumb so that’s probably why I don’t really understand the specifics of this plot and just the broader elements, but lots if the stuff they are talking about I have no idea what it means and what’s happening

Ok so the will is 300.000 shares of stocks of this company the old man owned. Samjo Automotive is like the biggest in value he owned. That will value is a lot, and it does matter to both WooJaeyon (WJ) and Seoho (SH), why? Because it will decide who owned the biggest stock over that company and the one who had the biggest one basically OWNED it. Since both have equally only got 100.000 of shares. And another reason why they fight so hard is because the matter of their pride really, from what happened in the past. WJ as the old man’s son and SH as the “forgotten heir” since they all did his mom dirty.

When Soheon (SHN) found out that indeed the old man had the document of the will and intended to give it to his brother, he copied it for precautions. That’s when the greed overcome his mind. And anything could happened to those documents really. But the one SHN gave SH is the real one, and SH mistaken those as the copy one and that’s why the fight happened.

And why SH easily assumed SHN betrayed him like that? Well it makes sense because before that, we know that for SH to save SHN for the crime WJ trying to put the blame on him (please read the chapter where both SoHeon and Seoho went to cemetery) SH had to release the original recording of his brother and the old man. That was against their original deal where Soheon will help with the will for the exchange of the video.

I love love love Kanou and Ayase. And yes, the rape at the first was concerning but Kanou made himself the best person in Ayase's life. He would die for Ayase.

I love that the toxic trait Kanou has is his possessiveness to Ayase - but he loves, trust, cares and is so kind to Ayase.

No you're not alone. I like this manga alot i read it from time to time when i don't find anything to read. I can even cite most lines but still cant get tired of it. It has this oldschool aesthetics and the fresh that never gets old. I even love the stupidly weird size gap, the gothic fashion and the cliches. Everything is just so natural and genius, like this is what you call entertaining and comprehensive. Just dont read too hard into it, think of it as a style and it becomes a masterpiece

Same!!! I totally agree! And nowadays in other mangas I read the comments... And I am like wtf... I read some mangas way young, for sure, and this was one of them... But still I don't understand all the hate...

And to this day, this is one of my favorites. I still enjoy the stories and how the characters grow... And I still re-read it just for a good story, I can count, Luckily, with two hands good new mangas out there now...
