I think you miss the main point. The readers who enjoy stories with abusive characters and "love" shitheads don't love them for abuse. They love them for other qualities that the writing/drawing is expressing. For example, I personally like powerful, sharp, pushy guys, obsessive with their partner and VULNERABLE in love. It is one of my favorite types in fiction. And I suppose it express some of my preferences in relationships too. But these characteristics don't imply that abusive relationship are okay. Because the reason I like this type has nothing to do with abuse. Also each person has his own red flags and disgust triggers in fiction. Don't forget that smth pretty tolerable for you can be a sign of a rotten moral compass for another person. So share your opinion is okay, but don't judge others

The same goes for multi-parter sex or rough power control sex. There is nothing disgusting about fantasizing. So this is the case where fiction is just for entertainment. Although I do agree that it should be banned for kids.
