The writer is dragging things too long. Now, we have a new character again. Instead of introducing a new character whenever MC breaks free from ML why don't you just move on with the plot and actually do something about the conflict and come to a resolution.
The story is getting nowhere and I think I'll drop it for now and wait till it's finished to see how it ends.
