I really disliked Param after what he did but after awhile I kind of understand him more. It's sometimes hard to recognise and sort through your feelings, and sometimes things happen where you don't really stop to assess how you're feeling or who you're thinking about until afterwards. I'm glad he's taking accountability and apologised properly, and I hope after some actual dating they're happy together

This isn't the hot take you think it is lmao I've been reading every genre of manga for 12 years???? People like you are insufferable when others offer their criticisms of art. I read yaoi because I enjoy the types of stories authors create, as I do every other manga genre. There is huge criticism in the yaoi community about the over-abundance of toxic traits such as rape as a plot device to get the main characters together. A lot of lgbtq+ people speak about this on forums and how it gives a negative view on mlm relationships. I am very aware it is fiction, and I am absolutely okay with people enjoying stories that feature rape. My point is, however, that the yaoi genre has a lot of lazy writing where abuse is used flippantly, and therefore ruins a lot of otherwise amazing stories that could have reached a wider audience. There are so many amazing yaoi stories that don't rely on abuse as a romantic plotline, but my point is that these are few and far between. I read mangas and if it has something I don't enjoy, I stop reading it (as is the case here). Doesn't mean I can't offer my thoughts on it, and I sure as hell won't be patronised and told to just 'read something else'.
And before you say not to complain if I don't support the author - I purchase 90% of the manga I read.
So yeah, stop looking at criticism if you don't like it and just read something else! ╮(￣▽￣)╭
Like myself, you saw the warnings before reading this story and yet you've gotten this far in? Listen kid...I get your point, but an illegal manga site isn't the forum for this. The problem is at the origin of the source. In this case Korea and also Japan. People in those countries are obviously into these types of stories and they make alot of money. It's not their fault if people are fetishizing these types of relationships. Those aren't big brained people anyways. Just surface dwelles. I'm assuming your American like myself. If you're not..my apologies as it is an insult. We Americans tend to come off extremely self-righteous, yet ignoring the same exact problems or worse that are occurring here. It's not my or your right to tell someone who's culture is entirely different from yours how f*cked up they are even if it is f*cked up in our eyes. If you want to make a difference though, maybe find a way to contact the editors, writers, publishers in those countries and implore them to change what seems to be popular and sells in their country. I hope it works out for your cause, but I don't know how far you'll get with that though considering if it's not licensed to be legally published in English...it was never meant for English speakers to read anyways...
