This was so damn said but I'm never going to sympathise with Wen Xu. Cheating on your partner is such a deep betrayal, let alone keeping it up for years whilst convincing yourself you're doing nothing wrong and that you still love your partner. He deserves to feel that anguish. He didn't get to be there for Zhi Shu in his final moments because of his OWN selfishness and narcissism. He pushed away the one person who loved him the most and let him suffer alone, and decides he's the victim in the end? I pity him, but he doesn't deserve forgiveness.
I am so happy the doctor was there for Zhi Shu though. the amount of heartbreak he must have been experiencing, yet still devoted his entire self into making sure Zhi Shu was comfortable and safe. I do wish he can move on and experience a truly wonderful love in the future.
I just feel so much pain for Zhi Shu. He didn't deserve any of that suffering. He endured so much. I hope he is happy in his memories and isn't in pain anymore

I love seeing the story drawn out but I definitely miss all the details in the novel. It makes the story that much more intense. If you haven't read it yet, definitely go read the novel!

I really liked this but idk why I have such mixed feelings about Charlie... he was groomed and assaulted for years and essentially had Stockholm syndrome.
