i used to read classics as a kid and now I’m reading BLs and GLs which is fine but i got so into it i stopped reading actual books.

Do you guys have any good novel recs to ease me back into it? I’m not too picky just don’t want anything corny like vampires or smth.

The MCs look so expressive and unique instead of pretty boy types. Especially the tall scruffy beanie guy. I want mangas with that kind of art and character design!

Characters that feel othered, don’t have some sort of great mission to accomplish and it just shows us their daily tribulations as misfits and losers? Neets, introverts stuff like that
Some examples i love are: welcome to the NHK, shut-in shoutarou takes on the world, watamote, sekine-kun, lesbian experience with loneliness etc etc you get the gist
