I won't reply the second question, but it's finished (50 chapters). I wouldn't recommend to read the unofficial translation though, because you'll have to wait for the officials to catch up since the original translator dropped after the officials were announced I think. It's a lot of time for this kind of story haha

SPOILER WARNING
The author ends up pushing the black haired guy who imprisoned him and the black haired guy hits the head but I don't think that he dies. The red haired guy comes and takes the author with him and the black haired guy goes to prison I think (I wasn't entirely sure about the translations, but they were mentioning something about prison sentance in the news) - not that it matters.
THe red haired guy is now taking care of the author and hopes that he can help him heal, but the author is deeply traumatized and he scribbles at night and trips seeing and talking to the black haired guy and keeps writing their story.
The last few panels literally read something like: Author mumbling while scribbling the sketches of the black haired guy's statues: “…Yeah… that’s right,
… I’m still… …Hey, that’s a spoiler. You don’t like spoilers…Ah, the title? It’s still tentative… Misery means a long, unending pain. So… our next story’s title is…”
