I KEEP TELLING Y'ALL,this man is the most interesting ml EVER like from his thoughts, his beliefs, EVEN HIS RED FLAGS, both of them are individually interesting like I keep up with it even tho there's not even a bigger plot going on but the most tame. Somehow the author manages to still keep it interesting, oh PLEASE don't ruin it (and you wanna know the most surprising part!? Through all of this bullshit there was no r/pe, no sexual assault whatsoever)
AYY HAVE A GOOD DAY.
I also hate him but I find him very interesting, it would be boring if he was perfect all around but he's not, he's a manipulative narcissistic selfish cunt and the most satisfying thing ever with these types of characters is seeing them realize all sorts of new emotions but with him it's not actually realizing/discovering it but him finding it. What i'm waiting for now is that he deals with it harshly. Like he says himself he believes in finding his soulmate which was very unexpected, I have a huge hate-love relationship with him.
i agree, he's a well-written character; remarkably realistic, i’ll give the author that. thankfully, he’s not a full-fledged narcissist, just someone with strong narcissistic tendencies. that said, i don’t dislike him solely for his character, but rather for how others fail to hold him accountable. it’s frustrating watching kyuho lack a backbone and continually relent. i’m not suggesting he should leave (because that would end the story), but if kyuho weren’t so passive, their dynamic would be far more compelling. at the moment, it feels like we’re witnessing a manipulator win most of the battle, without even resorting to false losses as tactic.
I agree, kyuho lacks entitlement but he says himself that even if they're fuck buddies he is confused of what to do with him and how to deal with the relationship he got himself into. I just wish he would be less forgiving but seriously wouldn't you be too? He decided to be with a guy he already was a selfish overconfident asshole but despite it all he keeps staying. People say it's because of manipulation but it's not 100% true I think, like kyuho manipulates himself too lmao, they both have such opposite opinions on how relationships should go. One that never experienced true attachment to love and true devotion, gets confused on how to deal with minim situations(kyuho) and we have the other one who has such a sweet view of love yet finds it hard to give others access to his inner circle and keeps being dishonest to get his way (the ml, forgot his name lol).
They're both stupidly problematic and yet i'm curious to find out how the hell are they ever gonna work out but through all this, from the beginning (despite being a little pissed off) I loved their interactions, their thoughts on each other developing each chapters, their views on love but confusion.
I can yap about this mid manhwa for hours and like I said thank go this doesn't have the typical rapist toxic because that would make him genuinely less interesting.
i see where you are coming from and you raise many valid points. but ive to disagree a little here. kyuho started off with clear and strong boundaries of what their situationship should entail. it was the ML who kept pushing and crossing his boundaries. we can point fingers at kyuho for relenting and like you said manipulating himself to appease the ML. but that doesn't make him problematic to anyone else, but himself and frustrating for us. the only problem I see is the ML in this relationship tbh when it comes to whose action is causing more harm to others. we are seeing the ML slowly cracking but the real development we need is of kyuho growing a backbone. only then I feel would ML's growth would feel more realistic
Oh yeah, yes YES I agree so much, both of them needs development but the idea that kyuho's would lead to the ML's growth is so interesting.
Also tbh even in the beginning we saw that kyuho was always a little...I mean kind of easy to push, like how he got himself involved with the ml even tho the ml stated he didn't like that, or how he got himself into club drama (I barely remember the beginning but like he was still super easy) he still has clear boundaries, he can state them and put a limit but doesn't know how to stay persistent with them (I think). Meanwhile we all know that the ml doesn't care how he harms people but care more about what can't bother him, he likes to analyze people (which he did well with kyuho, he cracked him so quick).
on my part idk what this could result in, i'm confused on how the ml's growth is going to happen and kyuho's too.
i absolutely can't disagree with that. kyuho is easy, a total pushover from a little shove. realistic character development always stem from accountability. only then are ppl confronted with their wrongdoings, which leads to change. or in extreme but realistic cases it's usually caused from mistakes that result in big consequences. but this is from a realistic approach. if the ML grows from the former result it would make for a fantastic story. and for that to happen kyuho would need to develop on his self esteem.. frankly i don't see that happening. i do see him leaving but that still doesn't indicate growth but resignation. I've no doubt the ML won't do 180 change, oh he will and it will simply be for 'plot' purpose. as for kyuho, as i mentioned before I dont have high hopes for his growth. like how every other bottoms personalities is butchered to fit the submissive mold. in saying that, I will still hold out with bated breath. i'm really rooting for kyuho
ME TOO I'M SOO ROOTING FOR HIM, i'm really hoping this manhwa is different actually develops the uke as their own individual character rather than just written for the ml like for their growth, to "help" them. I get tired of that storyline so much but I have huge (delusional) faith that it's not the case lol. I love your point of views of this story, I enjoyed this discussion a lot :3
The second story is just...wow.
