Imma be so fr and say that either I just have too much of a tolerance due to me reading darker or red flag stories OR ppl who strictly read fluffy shoujo manga are too soft. Cause these comments are fr so overdramatic lmfao.

In the very first chapter, I genuinely thought he was really cute and was actually getting diabetes from their interactions in the beginning. But of course was disappointed by the ending part. It’s interesting because with his specific personality, he didn’t seem like the type to have such relationships.

Now onto the exaggerations of these commenters. I can obviously see why they’d be upset and how he could have some red flags. However, ppl seriously being ONLY mad at him and treating him as if he’s some toxic villain is actually crazy ngl. He was pretty honest since the beginning, both about the kinds of relationships he has and his own feelings. FL KNEW all of that and still is a grown adult woman that chose to pursue him. He was straight up telling her that she would probably be happier with someone better and that he would probably make her unhappy, etc. and yet she STILL would say “it’s okay” and that it’s her own feelings. She know what she signed up for, so why are people treating him as if he brainwashed her lol. This also is NOT her very first experience with romance, hence the mention of her being in a relationship before. She’s not naive. She’s fully aware of everything but chooses to be honest with herself and her feelings.

Ppl are mad at her for following what she actually wants to do, as opposed to listening to her brain. But in my opinion, despite the second hand embarrassment at times, I actually admire how she truly doesn’t give af about what anyone thinks and just does what she wants. I know a lot of ppl have pride in this comment section, hence why they’re telling her to stand up and can’t bear to watch her go this route. But at the very least, no matter if she’s hurt or ends up with him, she regrets LESS this way. She can use this as learning experience in the future and see how she didn’t regret not knowing what would’ve happened if she did nothing. Which I know a ton of ppl have regrets now for choosing their brain and not trying lol.

Anyways on the other hand about the guy himself: I genuinely don’t think he’s a bad person. I think he’s a decent guy. Maybe he had issues due to romance in the past or he who let has never fallen in love and is confused by the way FL is making him feel. I don’t think he’s purposefully leading FL on. I just think he has a way of what he wanted in his flings, and FL’s existence is affecting him, making him act in ways he normally wouldn’t. I believe he’s just being honest, like when she was going to leave, he grabbed her hand because he didn’t want her to go. He did what he wanted to do in that moment. In that way, I think FL and ML are similar in that they’re really honest about their feelings. At the very least BOTH of them are communicating, even if it’s not sugar coated words. He’s honest about being confused and not knowing what he wants as well.

I’ve read stories where it was actually the MC that was more frivolous with their relationships and then meeting a more serious ML, being confused as to what they want and yet many readers were understanding. I guess it goes to show that certain audiences are still close-minded and quick to villainize any character that isn’t in the POV of the MC. It’s unfortunate how there aren’t many mature readers here, but luckily I did spot a few who had that sense.

I LOVE both ML and FL.
FL is so cute and shy yet bold.
ML is honest and nice.
Dont get why ppl call him trashy and say she deserves better like yall DO realise he has told her multiple times she should find someone else and that he doesnt know if he'll come to like her and shes the one continuing to pursure him?
How come when FL goes after a guy who is unsure if he wants her its stupid and she should stop but when a 2nd ML in every shoujo ever pursues a girl who doesnt want him he's admirable, handsome and deserves to get the girl?

Like shes just going after her heart and he's single so whats the big deal? Does she look unhappy to yall??

Sure that's the "logical" choice but it's unfair to the 2nd male lead because the FL has feelings for another guy. The 2nd male lead deserves someone who will love him wholeheartedly like how he loves them. Also, the FL is capable of providing and spoiling herself so let her choose the "whore" coz she needs no prince. She's no princess, she's a queen.
