I don’t know if it’s what you’re looking for but I can recommend song of the long march. The main character is a princess that has to run away because they want to kill her and the story develops nicely. I loved the art too and all it all this was one of my favourite manga so far. The mangaka had to drop it sadly so you wont be able to read it until the end, but every chapter is worth reading and the characters are great. Hope you might like it
