I agree it's a bit weird however in works of fantasy just like the middle ages and years before children getting married for one reason or another was common. I dont agree with the Lion hitting on such a young girl however if you also take into account how spiritually she is an adult, she doesn't have any romantic feelings for the beastkin or at least any lewd feelings, and she has been keeping a wall up to prevent such attempts at courtship maybe jusssst maybe she will be like 20 herself before she gets into a relationship. I don't want her to be this young either I'm praying for like a time skip or something because yeah the age gap is deffo an issue since she is a minor.

I read many stories where the Mc had to get engaged at 8 years old, had a engagement party at 16 then finally got married once they hit 20. At the end of that novel/timeline the OG ShuShu who was shunned by the royal family because of red haired princesses charm power/curse ended up being sealed in a spiritual mirror. However without access to her spiritual powers the red hair princess eventually loses the ability to charm and the brother Prince is able to break free and is horrified at what they had done to the OG shushu so he turned back time to try and fix it. But since the spiritual mirror is a different dimension the OG shushu’s soul is still trapped in the mirror and so the current ShuShu’s soul was brought over to fill the body and try to help save the OG soul from being trapped in the mirror
