I think I now understand why I feel this way. I do agree with your meaning, but I feel like the joker was actually supposed to signify what happened later on with him, breaking his chains for his hatred, and not exactly the barbarian or whatever I think it was meant more to signify his revenge and why he’s doing everything I think that the authors want her to do it but he wasn’t going to see her after you get my drift that’s what I feel like it was and I want hundred percent get it about the labor thing like that’s fucked up And I don’t like that. They kinda angled it that way.
But I also do like that. It looks a little off with his English man like a tour that he wears for the soul fact that it signifies him no longer conforming him now being different and already finding his comfort space but I think the biggest issue is the way they and the way they wanted to do it didn’t suit him as well as the design itself kind of Looks too plain and looks a little bit out of place. There’s one specific anime character that I can point out that has stuff like this she doesn’t have but she does have cuffs. I keep forgetting the name. It’s like the genie one like Aladdin not the Disney movie.

Honestly, they didn't even need to do the whole back in the past storyline it looked like past Taehyuk felt forced to reciprocate Hyo-un's feelings and had his doubts as smn who was in a parent role to the dragon but present Taehyuk actually fell for Hyo-un of his own volition as an adult without the shackles of raising him beforehand and memories of the past influencing things and getting in their way in general. Smh I wish I didn't read the backstory, it nags at the back of my head when I'm reading now
