for real, as someone who read the novel, I can say that while there are smut (which was beautifully written), this story is more plot-focused. that's why I got so invested!

Wouldn't have it been a better ending if he reclaimed his rightful position as king? I refuse to believe that this is the end. This story would've had greater potential and length if they had written it in that direction
