Being shallow narcissistic is his innate nature. His initial setting was default set on this . Yes later in 3rd timeline he changed but that too for himself only. Because his mind his body can't afford to be away from aelock anymore. He became his necessity , necessity for survival.

In volume 3, when he recognized his need to stay with Aelock. I was really angry about the coercion and him just thinking of starting a family with Aelock, after being so rude to him? Hugo knock some senses to him. Love Aelock’s butler.

I only saw change when Klopp actually saw the depth of Aelock’s trauma, that he realized he was spouting a lot bs, that if he wants this to work, he needs to be a better support system. Which is why I give this Klopp a bit more credit than Og klopp…

In the third timeline, Klopp was at his worst. Well that guy didn’t grow up, he was the victim of his own story. I hate how he blames Aelock for turning him into a monster, like wth! The arrogance was just wow! He only changed because he realized that he was the main factor why this tragedy happened, his pride hurt both him and OG Aelock. And his damn inferiority complex! It’s sad, he settled for his Aelock because he can never be with his true love OG aelock, at least that’s what I understood. You know he’ll love his Aelock, because he lived a hell without him already, but it was still cruel. Aelock’s like a lifeline he can never let go. It’s sad and cruel. But we know the first time line still haunts him…

That's so true . If I have to say who tops his priority list it's going to be himself not his first wife , not his dead kid , not aelock , not his present kids , it's always himself.

I have zero sympathy for him , & complete indifference for his pain. Simply what I loathe is , he dragged innocents with him.

In Lucid Dream, he acknowledged that it didn’t had to go that far and it could have been handled in a trial, but he couldn’t forgive his renegade heart. Like wtf? And he tells Aelock to just get back at him and pour all his anger out. But he has no intention of asking for his forgiveness nor is he has any intention of forgiving Aelock. (╯°Д °)╯╧╧

Original MC would never get angry with Klopp. If ML says stand here and don't move , he will not move until he gets his permission. Klopp completely changed him , from a Nobel person to someone with no self - regard.

Klopp is someone with high IQ - negative EQ. To this day I can't get his obsession over seeing aelock cry . According to his peanut brain feeling apologetic means you have to prove it by crying.
Aelock was remorseful , which can be seen in his actions. Otherwise why would he take all his tantrums without letting a squeal out.
When he was on his death bed , he was all Bones. Even a bystander will feel bad looking at him. But a specific man never saw it .
All he wanted to see him cry , which he was unable to, not that he didn't want to. *Sigh*

I don't want to see originals together. Aelock suffered more than he could , now it's time for his rest without getting disturbed.
Because even if they get together , and Klopp tries his best , he Can't get that vibrant Aelock back , he shattered him already. Or ,
If they start completely anew fully rebooted , Klopp personality has some serious problems. So NO !!
It would be best if people realise this and stop asking for something ridiculous.

Yeah, Aelock was so broken. He just goes along whatever Klopp’s says, from a noble and confident person, he was a husk of that person. Even Klopp noticed that, that Aelock wasn’t confident when it comes to him, which he kind of exploits when he coerced him into a relationship.

He could have started by courting Aelock. But telling him, that they’ll immediately have a baby in his next heat, was like, whaaaaaat! I know there is an imprinting and all, but you weren’t exactly nice to him months ago! You avoided him like the plague! You need to at least put some work!

He treated Rayfiel like a glass vase, why can’t he do it for Aelock? He wanted to possess Aelock so badly, he cut a lot of corners. (╯°Д °)╯╧╧

He was really toxic. His train of thoughts was incredibly self centered, I was really glad Hugo smacked some sense to him. I think Aelock partly went along with this, because he wanted to see his kids from the first timeline and finally be a mom. Which is really sad…

The change did happen eventually, but he had to see Aelock’s trauma, he had to see Aelock shaking in fear and crying to realize that he needs to be better . I know relationships are trial and error, and Aelock couldn’t speak up, but Aelock specifically told him that he had experienced something traumatic, from that Klopp should have known this relationship was not going to be normal. He needed to be more delicate… but the beginning was like watching a car crash. I know that at some point, he was really trying and I applaud that his trying, but he has a really really long way to go. He has too many bad habits that he needs to break.

Klopp really has a low EQ. I couldn’t understand his obsession with crying and with Aelock’s expression too, but I think it’s an excuse to paint Aelock in a bad light. He really wanted to break Aelock’s faint smile, he should have at least realized that this is a defense mechanism, Aelock was shaking! He didn’t fight you. He let every bad thing happen to him, because he felt he deserved it. Aelock was the sole heir of the Count, from his actions alone, we can see he was brought up differently, it’s a lot of pressure. He had a lot of noble clients, he should have known better. But he turned a blind eye, because it’s an excuse to put Aelock down, to break everything that makes Aelock. Klopp did admit, it was mostly his inferiority complex, pride and prejudice that made him blind to Aelock’s suffering.

Yeah! The originals should never get back together. Remembering the opening in volume 5.. it wasn’t going to be good for Aelock. He would submitted to Klopp and withered in that new life, at least with his Klopp, he could be more expressive and not be riddled in anxiety.

The setup with the same partners without the involvement and memories and better, because they all need to grow and they cannot happen with both OG’s.

Aelock was able to heal in his arc and be a lot more happy. While Klopp was able to take accountability with his actions and learn to live with it.

This isn’t the best ending for both of them, but they can thrive and live better lives.

Everything you put into words. Everything feels like hellhole. They both were meant to be together. I'm aware of this fact.
But not in this way .
They were attracted to eachother , if only things went in right direction from start.
But this is indeed a good story. A story which tells us what not to do in a relationship. And be own saboteur.

Yeah, this book is a good example of what not to do in your relationship. It is a hellhole huhuhu if the Og’s got back together. But the second chance is
a lot better, it’s not perfect, but they will live better lives.

One of the best stories, I’ve read! I love how each book answers one another. Especially how it subtle hints about things… that you can’t just blame the imprinting or a situation, but yourself because you have every part in all the wrong things that happens in your life.
