So as we find out more and more about Matthew we discover he was sexually abused and was living a terrible life... but that doesn't mean he should have reacted so harshly to Connors confession. But he reacted pretty normally for someone that has gone what he went through, yes, the beating him up was crossing the line for him "acting that way because of what he went through" and so was the afterward bullying and harassment which I don't understand why he had to pull such extremeties. (And hopefully none of you have ever had to deal with this feeling) but when you are being put through a mental and physical hell from a family member or close person you trusted everything will scare you. You will never have a normal relationship without even being scared of your significant other, people with any resemblance to the person or people who did that to you will be terrifying to be around, most night when you sleep, even after years and years later, you will think about what happened and over analyze everything from the why didn't I speak up to the I should have stopped it, I could have stopped it somehow but I couldn't, you can't think straight when you are confessed to. You even feel a bit unsafe with your friends and are scared to trust anyone. And expecially for Matthew being confessed to by the same sex he had so much going through his head, the memories, how that could happen again but with Connor, he must have been scared out of his mind and just didn't know how to handle it.
Of course I am not excusing the bullying, harassment, and trying to pressure Connor into sex with that chick. I am just explaining a bit why he was so harsh when Connor confessed. And I saw a few of you saying that all Connor did wrong was love him but he actually didn't do anything wrong. Love is something we can't control so it wasn't his fault in any way. I apologize for the long analysis but this really hit home for me and I can understand Matthews feelings so much. I don't understand why he went and treated Connor like that but he was obviously messed up and wasn't thinking straight or thinking at all.
For everyone that is confused, in the omega verse everyone has two genders, the first gender is male or female and the second gender is alpha, beta, or omega, so your gender would be... male + alpha, beta, or omega female + alpha, beta, or omega
