To me, it’s great that Saeyeon and Jaehyun already broke up. If their relationship is so fragile like that, it’s only a matter of time before it breaks. Literally Saeyeon didn’t trust Jaehyun enough to confide with him about her situation so that they could work it out together. I know that if Saeyeon did say something about her financial situation, it wouldn’t do much but at least it showed her trust to Jaehyun. And I know there’s a possibility that if Saeyeon mentioned about the deal with Jungwoo to Jaehyun, there could be a backlash like Jaehyun not trusting her cuz of Jungwoo being her best friend but there would at least be some doubt about Jungwoo in Jaehyun.
Faith in who? If she had say, her boyfriend just wouldn't stand there watching, would he? And the ass would find it. also, he have intelligence, so he can just know if something is suspicious. I'm not triggered, but I'm kinda tired of people thinking things are easy when someone blackmails. It worked for years and years everywhere
I have no idea what you are saying with your grammar and “trying to be sarcastic but not working” but I’ll just grab the key points of your sentences. First, what I am saying is not about the blackmailing. My main point is “trust” and “relationship”, not even directly related to the blackmailing. What I’m trying to convey is that if Saeyeon did say something about her financial situation to Jaehyun, at least it would have shown her trust to Jaehyun. However, she didn’t. Trust is an important aspect in a couple. Besides, in the end, she did cooperate with Jungwoo to completely frame Jaehyun. It’s kinda obvious that she does have affectionate feelings to Jaehyun but not so much. Even if she was in trouble, she dragged someone into trouble as well, causing a mental trauma towards Jaehyun. As much as her actions of “choosing herself over her boyfriend” are reasonable and realistic, this manhwa is still fictional so I’m quite intolerant with her behaviour, probably because I’m biased to Jaehyun cuz I know his situation more than Saeyeon. Saeyeon’s situation is like “I like(?)him but I have no other choice, I need money so I’m just gonna frame him as a scum in high school, not caring too much about the consequences and be guilty over it for the rest of my life, just mainly cuz of money”. That’s why I said their relationship is fragile. Even if Jungwoo didn’t interfere first, I’m quite sure their relationship wouldn’t last long. This is only in Saeyeon’s point of view but what about Jaehyun’s point of view? “My girlfriend sold me out in front of everyone, causing me to be isolated and scorned by the whole school and having a mental trauma over it, cuz she needs money”
Another thing is I’m trying to make sense of what you’re saying so I might misinterpret your statement. Also, like I said just now, my point is about relationship so I have no idea why you’re triggered af. But if you really want me to relate blackmail to this, then I’ll talk about how money’s also the main thing here and the second point of why their relationship wouldn’t last long. We don’t know much about Jaehyun’s financial situation but I’m just gonna guess that he’s from a moderate family while Saeyeon’s from a poor(?) family. There’s a possibility that the woman who was in the accident is probably the breadwinner tho there’s a probability that she’s not. Like you said, there’s a high possibility that Jaehyun wouldn’t be able to do much if Saeyeon did talk about her financial situation tho I can’t really predict Jaehyun’s actions cuz he’s kinda the “righteous person with not high morals but still righteous.” But what I’m saying is for Saeyeon to talk and discuss with Jaehyun on her situation and if they really had to breakup, they’d still be able to part ways in good feelings. Since money’s the main point here, this is also why their relationship wouldn’t last long so it’s great that they broke up. Eunsung’s a better choice to be in a relationship with. Although I quite like the portrayal of realism in her situation, I’m still biased to Jaehyun anyway.
Anyone seen or know of the so-called live action based on Mo Dao Zu Shi? I don’t wanna call it MDZS cuz apparently they changed like most of the plot so I’m gonna call it by its actual name, The Untamed (maybe called Chen Qin Ling?). I don’t know why I’m also annoyed that this live action is approved. Hearing about my most favourite BL novel gets based on with a not-so-exciting live action drama makes my heart boiled so I just needed to vent. If there’s anything that I’m wrong of, do tell me tho. But probably nothing could change my bad impression of the live action drama.
There are some rumours saying that they’re gonna pair up Wei Ying with a woman which would make me so angry and annoyed if it’s true. I’d rather a bromance than a romance between Wei Ying or Lan Zhan with another woman. Well I wouldn’t mind if they wanna do hetero romance but please do it with another character, other than Wei Ying and Lan Zhan cuz ALL characters (excluding Wei Ying and Lan Zhan) are straight. Glad it’s only a rumour tho.
I think the rumored woman you’re thinking of is Ming Ming it something like that. The girl that WWX helped during the turtle monster. I mean if you read the novel it did show WWX flirting with her before he died so...
As for the drama they’re focusing on friendship- due to China regulations or something- I haven’t heard of any romance or news of the drama in general. But there was a clip in a “trailer” where it does show the scene LWJ was forcing WWX to sleep on his bed putting him under bind spell
But... they're calling it something else. It's called "The Untamed" not "Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation" (or similar)
I personally looking forward to it. Not as a correct adaption of mdzs but as a stand-alone fanfiction-y type of thing. And also I want to see what they're doing with the female Lan sect leader who invented the assassination technic since she seems to play a bsomwhat bigger part in it.
And I also want to see how they're doing the fantasy stuff things like monsters/corpses/talismans/swords etc.
What I've heard is that they had to change the script for most part and change the 1 of the lead -forgot who- with an actress instead. (By Liu Yifei who's also casting for Mulan live action movie in 2020)
And for that change they change the title to The Untamed.
So I think this would become a straight version of MDZS?
I dunno what's real or not.
clearing up some stuff:
- they were supposed to pair wu xian with wen qing, a lot of drama went down bc there were rumours the actress paid the team and someone leaked the script that she has as much scenes as lan zhan. there was a witch-hunt for the actress during the beginning of filming. but i think it got settled on something that they were saying there won't be any romance inside. bromance at best (kinda like zhen hun). it was just a big bundle of mess, basically.
- they can't titled it mo dao zu shi bc of the word 魔道 which basically mean black magic. But chen qing ling sounds good as well which literally translate to (As Chen Qing Commands, rather than the Untamed, for anyone who forgot, chen qing is the name of wu xian's flute)
- changed some plot about reincarnation bc it goes against China regulations as well so we probably might not see mo xuan yu. in chinese belief, once you passed, your spirit goes to rest, but wu xian's spirit was instead called back. a lot of these dramas usually don't allowed these sort of things to happen, at best is reincarnation.
also, china's regulations is probably one of the strictest in the world with its heavy amount of censorship so its basically impossible for it to follow the work closely unless they don't plan on showing it in china. also, rumours and whatnot are all from weibo so just take it as a grain of salt
The Untamed
Behind the scene

Oh rite, I heard the rumoured woman is Wen Qing. Still glad no romance and only bromance ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ
But I’m pretty sure the drama’s called The Untamed instead of As Chen Qing Commands tho. I thought they can’t name it Mo Dao Zu Shi cuz of copyright lolol. But if it was ever called Mo Dao Zu Shi, I won’t acknowledge it. Mo Dao Zu Shi is too precious and it would be low for MDZS to be “The Untamed”.
Yea I also wonder about what the author thinks. If I was the author, I would never agree to a live action drama that literally changes the whole plot of my own masterpiece. Besides, if they were gonna change most of the plot, why not just make an original play then? Still wonder about that lol. And I think the author could actually do something tho? She’s the original creator. Why couldn’t she do anything? Unless ofc she’s also looking forward to it. There’s also the matter if the higher-ups pressures the author to accept the drama which sounds like some kind of shitty cliche drama lololol.
At this point, I'm just reading the manga blindly cuz I don't understand what the hell they're talking about, lol. Sanwakai, Doushinkai, Gouda group, Hirata and ugly dudes who I don't give a shit about and what are these things again? Most of them look the same so I can't differentiate the characters. And who the hell is Nakamoto and Sugimoto again? There's also the mention of exchanging sake cups so many times lmao. Now while the characters are having bloodshed and dispute over drugs and betrays whatsoever, I only cared about Doumeki and Yashiro lol.
Misumi, is a big shot part of Doushinkai (a big Yakuza group) Hirata and Yashiro are leader and second of Shinsekai (a group under Doushinkai) .
Nakamoto (the ugly dude that was shot by Hirata) is part of Gouda group (a group under Sanwakai, another big Yakuza group). Hirata thought the Gouda group would join the Sanwakai, so he tried to kill Yashiro and cut ties with the group so he could join the other. But turn out it won't happen, so he blame the murder of Nakamoto on Yashiro.
Sugimoto is Yashiro underling, like Nanahara. He was shot at the end of this chapter.
dude re-read it and I promise the plot will blow your mind cause its that good
Here's a run down, excuse the poor spelling and quick description:
Top group - Doushinkai group (Misumi is a board member) (Amou is his step son from a short marriage with a previous mistress). (Misumi's right hand man was killed by Hirata)
Sub group- Shinseikai group (was previously headed by Misumi, but he made Yashiro his "son" and boss of this group). (Nanahara is Yashiro's right hand man) (Sugimoto is Yashiro's underling) (Doumeki is Yashiro's bodyguard and driver).
Sub group- Matsubara group (Ryuzaki is the head of this group, and also exchanged sake with Yashiro making them group brothers. Ryuzaki knew Yashiro when he was 19 and being used as a group tart for his men)
Sub group- Chokuseikai (headed by Hirata who wants to be higher up with the Doushinkai group, so he is annoyed that Misumi made Yashiro his "son" and gave him the position of boss seeing) (Hirata killed Misumi's right hand man in order to get a higher up position, and now he is trying to kill Yashiro)
There are a few new characters or those associated with Hirata who I can't remember their names that have been introduced in the latest chapter.
Go read analymous post. It will help you!

Oh wait I feel like this manhwa kinda skipped some stuff. I’m curious about Yoon’s son actually. Why did he hate his son?
Yoon's son @0@? I've forgotten it all. What was the complication?
It’s been a long time since I finished this manhwa, I’ve also forgotten a lot of details but I believe there’s mentioned that Yoon disliked his son? So I was kinda curious about his son. Tbh, I feel like the overall victim here is his son. He lacked parental love from the start and his father’s keeping a man as his mistress, directly neglecting his child. He probably only had his busy mother. But it wasn’t really detailed when explaining about his son. If his son turned out bad and that’s why Yoon disliked him, I guess it’s the problem of nurture rather than nature. But we weren’t really informed of whether his son’s a scum or what. My memory of this manhwa is so hazy tho so there might be some wrong info or whatnot.
I guess it wasn't Yoon's son, but that Yoon was someone's son, or there might have been a mention of his "siblings". Could it have been that or do you remember it for sure that that kind of mention of Yoon's son pops up?
He is Not his biological son. Reason for disliking him don't remember
Eh no it is his son. I forgot if it’s biological or maybe stepson.
Oh. I seriously just feel so unsettled about Mr Yoon.
I love him┗( T﹏T )┛quite a bit
He isn’t? Well if you insist that he’s not Yoon’s biological son, then maybe that’s true considering that I’ve gotten amnesia about this manhwa lol. But I still think that’s no excuse to dislike and neglect the child tho. The son pretty much got abandoned twice by his fathers. I was always displeased when I knew that Yoon was still maintaining a relationship with his wife even if it’s unwillingly while having a relationship with Soohan. That’s what people like to call an “unhealthy relationship”. It’s kinda surprising how many people support this infidelity. Reminds me of an ErwinxLevi dj called Others’ Husband. It’s a dj about Erwin cheating on his wife with Levi. Anyway, I’m not very fond of cheating characters which is kinda mainly the reason why I wasn’t very fond of A Paramour at first. Although they weren’t in love, they still had a relationship as husband and wife. This is kinda the case in a soap romance drama where the unloved wife caught her husband cheating openly with his mistress at their house.
Well, if some people were to mention “just put yourself in Soohan’s shoes, what would you do?”, I’m gonna smack them on the head. If I found out the man I loved had a wife, I would give up duh. I might love him to death but I wasn’t gonna destroy my life and another person’s life for love. To me, it’s the right choice for Soohan to be with Taeyul. I always heard that if you find yourself loving two people at the same time, choose the second one cuz if you really loved the first one, you wouldn’t have fallen for the second. If it’s “just put yourself in Yoon’s shoes, what would you do?”, excuse me but I would never cheat on my wife/husband regardless of loving him or not. If we could reach a mutual divorce then it’d be fine but it’s a different story when a child’s involved. In the end, it all comes back to the child. I think his child was only briefly mentioned but I think Yoon said that he disliked his son cuz of his son’s personality.
So basically it’s like this:
Yoon- cheating slag bastard playing the victim like real af. What are you, ProJared?
Soohan- emo love-crazed mistress also playing the victim like real af. Who gives an f if he’s grateful to Yoon? He knows the dude has a wife but still wants to be with him. Just cuz they’re in love, it doesn’t give him the right to suck another woman’s husband’s d*ck.
Taeyul- strange yandere dude (gotta applaud the crazy dude for crying in front of the uke tho)
Yoon’s wife- soap opera woman who does soap opera stuff to get back her husband “soap-operaly”
Yoon’s son- just some random insignificant child that no one in the manhwa nor in real life actually cares about. Ignored by everyone pretty much. Got ignored by the author also cuz the author doesn’t even use him as a plot in the end lol.
Lmao harsh but truth. You should add “Just cuz they’re in love, it doesn’t give him the right to let a man suck his d*ck when he has a wife” under Yoon. We can never be too greedy in life or it’ll bite us back in the most unexpected way. But the description for Yoon’s son is so OUCH.
