I think the plot of the story is good, however it's really hard to pay attention when her hair color is a bright pink and her red eyes clash completely with her design. If the overall colors of both the characters and backgrounds toned down, then I think I would enjoy this a bit more. But as it is, it just looks really ugly and annoying... Sorry (づ￣ ³￣)づ
Not you guys defending child marriage... Just because he hasn't touched her sexually doesn't make it ok, it's still child grooming. I'm disgusted with the author more so n cause he/she/Maybe even they, decided for the FL to be twelve and her romanticpatern, twenty seven. No one is reading this for historical accuracy so there's no point in bringing up the fact that this takes up in the "past" it still doesn't make it ok
Why change history for a manga based on history ? You can't badmouth the author. The author made a manga based on history. Why change the reality ? And when u are saying " no one is reading this for historical accuracy " Then why do we read it ? Me, I love manga based on history. And idk if u know the manga "killing stalking " ? Im sorry, but i love it too, but its worse than marriage between child and adult idk why, but everyone love the killer (even me) but its not normal No one is reading this for the romance, but the story. There was another manga that people badmouthed because they were saying its pedo ext... its called " shoujo shonen gakyudden" personnaly , i love this manga. Its school life, but there is love between a 12 years old girl and 17 years old boy. (This is not a big age gab, so why ??) And for the moment, its only the girl that love the boy. I love this mange cause its based on real life.
The author has already changed history with this story. The story isn’t historically accurate, it isn’t a retelling of facts- it’s fiction. On top of being fiction, it is romantic fiction. As romantic fiction written in the present, yes the author is morally responsible for romanticising child grooming regardless of whether sexual interactions happen or not.
This manga is also not fiction based on real life. If it was an accurate depiction of child marriages in the past, this would be written much darker with sincerity and respect to the child brides that are and were victims of brainwashing at best. Usually child brides were raped as well. Instead, this is a romantic manga aimed in part at underage girls (shoujo) which is hugely problematic. Mangas where part of the target audience is kids should not be romanticising minors having relationships with guys who would essentially be pedos irl.
Also, a 17 year old that tries to get romantically involved/accepts romantic invitation from a girl as young as 12 is a criminal, a predator and extremely sick. It’s not ‘school life.’ It’s illegal full stop. 17 yo is a groomer at best if they date a 12 yo and if they touch a 12 yo they automatically turn into a rapist.
