Imp's Manga

I really liked this one the first time I read it, but now that I pop back at it. Some of the characters and plot just doesn’t make sense and is some times downright normalizing toxic relationship tropes in a subtle way.

Like the Top was really horrible to the Bottom the first time around just because of his own pretences and made speculations based on them that caused the rift between the Top and Bottom. I just find it annoying and unrelatable when a Top starts off hating the Bottom because of their own prejudices or experiences.

The other part was that the guy who was claimed to “mysterious” and enigmatic was literally never explained throughout the story. It just comes off as pretentious because you say that you can never be understood and you’re holding many secrets, but never are those secrets explained nor is there any revealing. So you’re honestly just left with this pretentious person who is, in reality, a complete nobody with no backstory who is portrayed as someone who “unknown.”

Overall, the story wasn’t completely bad. There were good parts. I especially loved the side story “Incorrigible.” That was chef’s kiss, but the other story was pretty bland in all honesty. It started normalizing some disgusting tropes such as bully to love
