I find it unfair for Kotaro that him being Ayumi's "lover" was never verbalised. Honestly, the only thing that was trully established was that he is his housekeeper (end of chapter 6), and this leaves a lot of unnecessary openings for misunderstandings, not to mention, angst :/

Although the plot of the first story is a bit on the superficial side, I adored how the narration put the clichéd "once upon a time" and "happily ever after" together in one sentence :3
