Not only did they make her a sacrifice but they also made her a witch and a villain? Fuck everyone in this story other than Wisteria and Saltis. The least they could have done is laude her as a hero or at least not lie about it. And the sister having a mental breakdown? Don’t make me laugh. If my lover asked my sibling to sacrifice themself for me nevermind marrying them I would burn the world to the ground, wtf. Those adoptive parents clearly never gave a fuck about her too. I’m so mad but I love the art, Wisteria and Saltis.
Gimme more of that lore! What did she mean by black foxes have historically done things with their power to bring them misfortune? My interpretation is that black foxes love their partners so much they usually end up sacrificing themselves or their own happiness in some way. That then got misconstrued into them bringing misfortune to others. Anyways this was beautiful albeit a bit short, definitely could’ve gone on for longer.
PLEASE WHY???? What kind of freak looks at a kid and thinks he will grow up hot ヽ(`Д´)ノ they could’ve given the kid an older brother, a father, an uncle, literally anything else. The art is cute whyyyyyyyy
The title does NOT automatically mean a full adult is raising his love interest- titles like that are common for the childhood friend trope too. Plus the age gap looks egregious. Ive read age gap stuff so yeah it’s not shocking but the MC’s comments about the boy growing up to be handsome is just extra weird
I’m not sure if this is rated so highly for nostalgia or what but while the art is nice the plot needs a lot of work. I think it’s also partially due to the translation not being great but the pacing is off and a lot of the character’s reactions don’t make sense. They also hint at trauma and stuff but never talk it out, honestly they barely know each other at all. I’m just sick of the top rated pages being taken up by nostalgia rather than newer actually good works.
Im so confused bc yong taek did have his tape put in way earlier but he either didn’t fully remember everything or continued to pretend he didn’t know anything? Why would he lie to his supposed friend and teammate bada but on the other hand why wouldn’t his memories fully return? And the cousin seong chan if he was allied with yong taek and bada why would he throw bada under the bus like he admitted to doing? I need spoilers lol but i like where the story is going.
Can anyone tell me if this gets good?
Im sorry but the first chapter is such nonsense. I tried reading chapter two but it didn’t hep.Why do they keep sending assassins with poison after the first one? Why would the MC ask for help from someone who presumably came to kill her with nothing to offer? And overall MC seems very annoying. I don’t mind the “cute and refreshing but a little naive” MC type but this one is just dumb and foolish in an irritating way.
I did think the assassins coming to poison her time and time again even when it never works was dumb…I think you’d enjoy though if you continue…the FL believes it’s dumb too and she’s only acting “cute” since she’s bored and wants to survive, it explains her whole emotional process as you read, going from scared, shocked, amused, to bored when the poison never takes. The assassins themselves are sent relentlessly since they don’t believe these deadly poisons wouldn’t work and think it’s a hoax. The OG villainess died of poisoning, but this time around she did something to gain a rare power that cost her. Like @Silver Wolf says her relationship with the eccentric dark mages and the ML is fun and sweet, ML’s background is sad and the treatment from the OG leads makes you rally for the dark mages more.
