While I like the possessiveness the seme has for the uke the story just isn’t that good. It takes itself way too seriously without actually being dark enough to back it up. The author reminds you every ten seconds that the seme and other alphas were just “dogs in a fighting cage” it almost made me laugh. And the uke is the born sexy yesterday trope since he was basically locked up for 19 years and knows nothing of the outside world. It’s sickening to watch someone be called a baby and then be sexualized. The story romanticizes the uke’s naivete and reframes it as refreshing or novel. Yuck. Now, I’m no saint I’ve read and enjoyed my fair share of fucked up stuff but this story isn’t good enough to justify all this lol.
