I don't think becoming friends with you partner's ex is bad. BUT WHEN YOUR PARTNER'S EX CAUSED HIM PAIN AND TRAUMA, YOU STAY AWAY FROM THAT PERSON. There is no justifying it. It's like your partner gets fucking murdered and you befriend their murderer. Dude have some fucking respect for your partner and some dignity.
