Did you perhaps forget the abuse of power over someone desperate? He basically used his position to coerce him into this relationship. If he was a proper human being, he wouldn't have done this in the first place. How can he expect a person with zero knowledge on bdsm to completely understand how something like this works when he's under constant pressure to adapt to something he doesn't really want but was forced to do out of desperation? He was never truly given a choice. Also, when you have no experience, the shock over something so violent can make you freeze, making you unable to think clearly, so it's not uncommon under stress to not think to use the safe word. He's inexperienced and basically doesn't really want this.
tbh i was thinking that the ML would sucide at the end of the series of just kill MC but nothing happened.it was such a disappointment.
