I’m all for Kyubin and Seungtaek but i didnt see the connection between Seungtaek‘s story about their past and Seungtaek developing Actual Feelings for Kyubin? I mean he gave up the high school interview for him whatever but he didn’t actually admit to himself that he liked Kyubin. It was like ‘do I like him? Let’s not think about it!’ *flashback to present where he’s crying over Kyubin*??????????

bruh not everything has to be said, actions convey a lot more than words and he does say doesn't he, that because of the society he was born in he thinks its better to suffer by his side than to date kyubin. not to mention seungtaek straight up smooched a sleeping kyubin like doesn't that raise a couple eyebrows lol

The flashbacks show us that Seungtaek is struggling with admitting to his feelings for Kyubin. The whole journey showed us that Seungtaek is indeed in love with Kyubin and even gave up the new school for him, BUT as we can see from the flashbacks, his mother is pretty conservative. His family has high expectations for him, and society expects a lot out of Seungtaek too. Now imagine if a guy like that ends up being gay?

Seungtaek wants to be with Kyubin, that's why he cried, that's why he remained friends with him (so they could be together), but he can't actually start a romantic relationship with him because he fears the reaction of society (his family, friends, classmates etc.). That's why he said in chapter 26: "In the society I belong to, abnormal things aren't accepted." He's in a constant struggle between loving Kyubin and fearing what the consequences will be if he reacts to those feelings.

Mmm ok, i get what you guys mean. I did need to reread all the chapters to get the right perspective that i missed as i read updates as they were posted. It reads better in one shot. You’re right, the feelings Seungtaek has in particular are very nuanced and subtle because of his internal conflict as a result of his strict upbringing/parental (or maternal) influence. I appreciate the complex treatment of their different personalities now. I love this manhwa so much (/TДT)/

I love Jin and Momo. I hope them moving out means we get a spin off just about them hahaha.

i'm tired of subin dragging his feet around when hyung is being honest and frank with his feelings in this relationship. like, i get it, you're in love w your childhood friend, but don't just front about putting distance between the two of you and moving on when you don't feel that way. i don't want hyung to get strung along :
