It started out interesting, but I soon got bored.
I felt like there was no buildup to how the mc’s feelings grew and instead since the beginning it’s always about looks. (Yes I know it comical but it’s the only aspect considered when it comes to candidates)
Currently on chapter 42 and the second male lead has not been significant in the slightest. He did not give her a revelation, but instead pointed out the obvious.
The story has been predictable and with no real obstacles and frankly no plot.
She defends the emperor much too often when all the criticism is well deserved. “Isn’t he short tempered” and suddenly she splashed someone important with tea.

It was meant to be about family and then leaving, but after that it was waved off with her family not caring anymore about working with someone murderous.
They have all become 2d characters who are extremely dense to the point of infuriation and with no clear obvious story.
I am disappointed that there was no conflicting emotions with the mc and about quitting like why did she not push it more, why is she satisfied with a tea party that was not actually considerate of her and her situation. The prince claims to know everything about the mc but in reality knows nothing and will not accept that there might be a possibility that she does not love him.
All the characters are somehow so 2d yet so dislikable at the same time.

The only likeable characters are the father
The brother is very flat as a character, his entire personality is “I like everyone that is family and hate everyone else”

The other characters are too insignificant like iris or the queen, why mention it if they pose no real presence in the story.
It feels like there’s also no point in the mc being reincarnated when she retained no memories of her past or it didn’t lead to anything.

Plus the age gap
In the story with Emels sibling being introduced, he was assumed to be in his late 20’s while the Mc was in her teens
Emel has been an adult since she was 12 meaning the age gap is similar to his brother and her.
So why did the author make it weird with his brother, but with Emel it’s all sunshine and fine.

There really is no villain, the wizards seem to be a massive threat in the beginning but after one incident they never appear again or even mentioned.
I think the kidnapping scene was done beautifully with all the suspense and torture for several chapters to make the reader truly feel how helpless the mc felt, but that’s it.
All other big scenes were in ruins and really insignificant.
Also Emel is too possessive and frankly acts disgusting, he often gaslights the mc and makes it so she is isolated from others as much as he can so he is the only one by her side.
Plus she is a minor, and it’s hinted he’s had feelings since she was 14 which is pretty weird.
