Honestly it's just kind of mid to me. The main character doesn't feel like she has a lot of depth to her other than guilt and magic. The main lead is the same as well being flat and 2d with no empathy and talented in magic and obsessed. Neither really have a goal to work towards and it feels like a limited story that will inevitably meet a dead end.
It's still early but overall it's just not my cup of tea with how toxic it is so far and how the mc just accepts it.
