I get that he didn't wanna tell Captain Kang yet about being pushed into the water. My hunch is saying he wants to confront doc for his behaviour first. Still though it is annoying that he lied. Kang has been nothing but so sweet for apologising.
but I hope the doctor gets beaten up later by Kang for being a psycho.
