Do you think Jihyun knows that the reason for his hypersexuality is probably the abuse he endured or the fact that it's less that he's hypersexual and more that he just has a highish libido like dude first you need therapy and second I promise you are fine if your desire didn't match up with the person you were with that isn't on you or them that's just life you aren't broken or abnormal you're fine

I literally can not stand the degree of hatred Winter is getting like you guys he literally doesn't know literally everyone around him has been lying and manipulating both him and Violet to keep them apart should ha have talked to Violet at least once to get her side of the story yes does that mean the entirety of her misery is his fault no like I'm not going to pretend to be okay with him ignoring her although I understand his motivations like how he literally just doesn't know what he's meant to do types when a person spends their entire life starved for affection they need to be taught how to both give it and receive it and that's exactly the situation that Winter was in his treatment while harmful isn't out of malice or lack of caring he was literally just doing what his parents did because he didn't know it was wrong because he didn't have anyone tell or show him that it was wrong he has a lot to make up for in terms of bring neglectful but none of it was because he didn't care and none of it was because he hated her and that's important not to mention once again THE ENTIRE HOUSE AND HIS "MOTHER AND FATHER" WE'RE ACTIVELY WORKING TO KEEP THEM APART like I while Violet is definitely the type of person who receives affection through investing a lot of attention in relationships Winter only knows how to give affection by sharing (he literally can't even understand why Violet would think to buy a gift for him ) had Violet actually received any of his gifts it could have lead to a thank you and then to a conversation and then to the right type of affection being given for both of them but no because everyone from the servants to the Duchess and Duke was making an active effort to not only keep them apart but make it seem like Violet hated Winter and that Winter doesn't care about Violet the only reason it's getting slightly better is because the servants who were content and even active participants in the abuse and harrassment were fired making it even harder to keep it a secret and they actually managed to meet at least once to tell each other things
Like this isn't to excuse Winter's neglect because I'm a firm believer that harm done negates intentions but intentions do matter and the fact that there are people who are actively lying and manipulating them both is important so it's weird to call him irredeemable or act like he's the absolute worse ML in the world because he's not he has a leg up by actually caring about Violet since the beginning

The lack of communication in this kills me because its not even that Winter is a bad person cause he's not but his (admittedly understandable) inability to communicate not only his own desires but the desires of others is so bad that it actually caused a lot of harm to his wife who he since the beginning has obviously loved deeply and his wife has a similar problem I'm not surprised that as a noble and as a woman that she did not filly communicate her desires with Winter like she asked a question but she never told him why and the why is important especially in this instance all of this coupled with a whole host of people working against her and just out right lying to her only worked to make her miserable which is so tragic and they love each other but right now until they get passed the communication barrier and deal with the people taking advantage of them I just can't see how this could work not right now at least
It reminds me of Idris and Khalid's relationship in "The Tyrant Husband has Changed" Where the primary problem isn't a lack of communication but rather that their communication and affection styles differ so greatly in other words they aren't on the same wavelength Winter shows affection through money and gifts and acts of service Violet shows affection through spending time with the people she cares about but neither one of them are receptive to each other's way of showing affection so Winter feels unworthy and Violet just feels hated and it's so sad because they're not and god I just want them to move past this and start to feel better about each other and they're relationship like I said neither one of them are bad people but circumstances have made this hard

as much as I agree, the main problem is actually, was it her parents or his, they were the ones manipulating her and him, mostly her, by making false accusations causing these misunderstandings, along with what u said, but without the parents, she wouldn’t have been so miserable and slowly piece by piece losing her confidence and pride turning into who she is now, without the parents, the difference in showing affection wouldn’t have been much of a big problem as it is now, for example the dresses, she likes them just didn’t know they were for her because the parents received them and refused them along with a letter, I think, making him think she didn’t want them and that they weren’t worthy enough for her since she was a princess (︶︿︶)=凸
I actually like that the author portrayed abuse for what it is they didn't sugar coat it or turn it in to love or trauma or something no an abuser likes power that's all it is and I'm glad to see the manwha portray it as such
