Read this in one sitting. In the first few chapters I was reluctant to continue because Yuri was so off putting and Seonwoo was just as bad. I still persisted because I was curious about the whole story and how they ended up where they did.
I understood why they both loved the people they did. Heeju and Hongju were there first examples of human kindness outside of their homes although Seonwoo’s grandmother RIP was such a sweetheart, she didn’t know what was actually going on. I can’t imagine how terrible it must feel to feel like to feel unwanted by your own family for who you are or unloved for just existing. This manhwa portrayed it so well and I started caring for the characters in it and sympathizing with their plight.
Now I just think Yuri needs therapy as Juho said love things like that being mentioned and obviously Seonwoo understands the kid and accepts him. But I hope even if he doesn’t go to therapy he grows up to a better man and not as psychotic as he is now.
Why do people hate it so much when an action like this has women. I'm gonna be political and say thats the misogyny talking because all the comments about the women are always so harsh, hateful and toxic. I'm gonna be real I hate harems same as the next person, still a ml should be given a chance at romance when necessary.
I don’t think it’s misogyny. Sometimes in action they will write forced and “bad” romance. For example a very traumatized character will magically change and fall in love 70 chapters into the book. I hope I can speak for others when I say if there is going to be romance it should be something with a bond and not some random encounter. Please feel free to give your opinion on this!(⌒▽⌒)
Yeah I hate the random thrown in romance too that doesn't add much to the story. Still the way readers speak about said randomly added romantic interest is always so harsh, degrading and insulting. It honestly makes me feel terrible as a female fan of action manhwas. They can critique the work and the plot not that specific FL. I.e I loved the FL in Solo leveling because it made sense. it was written nicely into the plot without at all overwhelming the story. And it's wishful thinking to hope all manhwa writers will give that much thought to their female leads instead of just titties and thigh high socks. I'm not hating really but it gives we hate women subconsciously so let's take it out on these 2d characters. I just wonder if you've seen some of those critiques, they're awful.
They are very cruel most of the time it feels like they’re targeting more than just the character. I know what you mean. Most of the time when people say I don’t like romance in action they refer to badly written plot and harems which is always a shame as sometimes good book can be thrown into that mix. Thank you for sharing your opinion. (▰˘◡˘▰)
