Something's pissing me off... When Hilda suggested killing Zed why didn't he agree??? The guy literally tried to sa her. He would rather kill some random person than the gardener who wanted to harm Hilda??

I hadn't thought too hard until you mentioned this, it was something anyone would get behind since that man would repeatedly assault/rape women of the manor. I believe that Adrian would've gone full in, I guess the rationale may have been that the man was protected by his father since he was the only stable-hand that his horse would listen to. No one wanted the count to get involved and he was used to killing people below the radar (maids, strangers). Killing the stable-hand was the only person that Hilda could bring herself to nearly kill so that Adrian could get better.
