I'm still a fan of this manga despite the switch-ups of the opinions of the readers. tbh age gap is not a problem at all in yaoi logic as well as in BL in general. There are more kinks and subgenres in yaoi that are more severe than this and its still acceptable.
Bottomline is that I suggest not to go back to this manga if its not your cup of tea or just leave it as it is.

Exactly! I would have more understanding if its this is a new manga but this manga has been in the 2010s, not the present time. People tend to be swayed by the changing time sometimes. Also, this is such an OG for all of us. Yaoi manga to anime production is a rarity. Let's just cherish this.
