i just realized how much pressure Hirano might feel - and obviously, it doesn't help. chemistry between people is something that usually happens first, and then the labeling thing is done as things unfold naturally. it happened to Kagiura, but Hirano experienced the opposite and now he seems to be trying to power through whatever's going on with his brain. whenever this happens irl it creates so much pressure. like 2 friends naturally growing into a relationship vs 2 random people meeting up for a date where even before the 1st meeting the 'purpose' is known. and if you don't feel like you're interested in the first place (e.g., like in some arranged scenarios), it's only natural to feel pressure/resistance. at the same time i'm aware that Hirano never even entertained the possibility of there being something more and Kagiura stepped in. Hirano wants Kagi to know that he really cares, but being all cerebral about it might create so much pressure for him. well, that's what the head does, so no wonder. at least mine would T^T.
and it's even besides the whole point of being are/aro/demi etc.
