I agree! In reality, he is a powerful fighter who knows how to remain calm and serene, he is too classy! (๑•ㅂ•)و✧ I hope that his arrival in the manga will happen soon but I would like on the other hand that the author respects the progress of the plot of the novel! what a dilemma!

Have you checked out You Tube?? There are some computer generated episodes that are just so gorgeous (they look almost like from a sony, xbox, etc., game)!! They show Seme & Uke together especially in the water...just beautiful!! If you read ExiledRebels translations there is a page that gives u the stats on the characters. Before Wei's death he was almost the same height as Wan but after his rebirth he supposed to be way shorter. I guess sometimes its hard to get the porportions correct every single time. There is also a trailer for the movie coming out in June(?).

Let's all take a moment of silence for our beautiful Rogi who will never get love let's be honest: he has the love of a child, but not the love of a significant other. Judging from the story taking place when he is older, he never gets over Akitora and he won't be forgiven for his actions. I feel so much for his character and getting the love he needs just seems so essential. I honestly feel that he wants a family. Rogi is the best character in this manga (not the wife, not Akitora and not my little chicken nugget baby in here). There's honestly no argument against it. "She's a great female character", well you can find that anywhere. Look in the shoujo or fuck, romance tag, because BL isn't romance. Ton of them. Yaoi? You get cliche tropes and such and sufficient character development, but Rogi? He's beyond any of that. He's complex and oddly human. If you've ever met a person who lies and does bad things, you can find someone much that matches his character. They still have good in them. A journalist contacted a inmate once—he'd raped women and children—and yes he did have a childhood that reflection what he did, but on himself, but he said "Do you know what I fear? Dying while never had done a good thing in life." Rogi gives off the vibe of someone who wants good, but does bad things. He's far gone and into this persona that is becoming who he is. Yet he has breaks in it. The fact he begs/yearns for love. I'm sure I don't have to explain why that is a good thing.

You can actually tell who is gonna bottom in the fact that both men were masculine in a way and just like every other manly uke manga. It doesn't surprise me since most manly uke manga does so. I don't like it, but from all I've run into the all follow the same pattern.

This manga is saddening. It very clearly portrays the way Japanese people see black men—in a generalized sense. There are plenty of manga about white people with Asian and few with Spanish, but out of all of my reading experiences, there's none with a black person with Asian. Not in a positive aspect. I care nothing for the fact that they aren't attracted to black people, but that they present them badly within stories. They could've used anyone else, but as any artist, in order to add more to a story they choose a 'monster' based on the views of their target audience. In this case: Japanese people. They find black people more intimidating and dangerous. In order to invoke that feeling in the reader, the mangaka not only used the action of rape itself, but the look of someone their audience is scared of. I cannot respect them for this. They effectively used their skills, but they did also promote a negative view.

you can blame the movies for generalization of black people. Most japanese only see black people in movies or tv shows, where a lot of them is shown like gangsta or something like that.

Keep in mind that the mangaka did not write this story, she drew it based on a novel. She did however create a really interesting/sexy black MC in Swordfish from Undergrand Hotel, if you can handle an intense prison story.

That's concerning only due to the fact it contributes to the point that black people are drawn when it comes to negative situations or unfavorable stereotypes. But I have no problems with prison stories. The segregation and such in it is honestly expected. Not to include the fact that it isn't prison story unless there is violence and harassment.

But thanks to Black Panther, people in foreign countries who know diddly squat about African Americans nor have been around them, have come to view us differently. Although, believing whatever you see & hear from anyone else's point of view with out ever finding out yourself is unfair to those you freely judge.

    Amorim April 24, 2019 5:44 pm

But I mean.... this is the first time I've seen an African American portrayed negatively in a Manga? To be fair it's only the 3rd or 4th one I've seen in Manga period. But still I think we can all agree 99% of yaoi is Japanese on Japanese and lots of those are rape

This reply will be showed after approved! MOI?

I mean I really feel like this depends. I have plenty of places in my city where we say "hey don't walk down that neighborhood you might get raped" and we have basically a non existent African American population. It doesnt matter if theyre white, danger is danger. If I hear the same thing in downtown L.A. and considering the location it's most likely a predominantly black neighborhood, you bet your ass I'm gonna walk the other way. I've never met anyone who walked away from a neighborhood because of the predominant race in that neighborhood but most likely because it either looks poverty stricken, or has a bad crime rep. Both these things increase the chance someone could be seriously injured/violated. Now just because ive never met one, doesnt mean they dont exist. Im sure there are plenty of racists out there who see a tall black man and immediately turn the other way. Its unavoidable, bigotry and small-mindedness is everywhere. But the world gets better every day. Now, despite that, Statistics don't lie, it's just a cold hard fact that in America, crime is largely committed on ALL fronts by someone of ethnicity usually African American but a large portion Latino. I can definitely say there's some over representation at play but these numbers are out of the ballpark. were talking often a 40% increase above all other races when combined at the LOWEST statistic. they usually reach up into the 60-80% of all accounted crime when combined. Now obviously that has nothing to do with their race, and everything to do with their culture and socioeconomic status. African americans and Latinos who grow up in middle class and above homes and far away from gang culture end up having the same crime statistics as any other race but the sad thing about what's going on today is that some of the effects of racism are still at play and that causes a somewhat never ending cycle of poverty -> gangs -> crime. And it certainly doesn't help how much being a gangster is endorced in the media. Gold chains, diamond rings, guns, cocaine, Benjamins. These are Some of the most often said words today and largely on the part of African American rappers. America is sick, and we should all be doing our best to help, but blaming misrepresenting African Americans as a whole on racism isn't exactly accurate. You should blame the culture that is developing in primarily African American poverty stricken areas, and on how the u.s. government doesn't control the police force to a high enough standard, and how the gov isn't doing enough to help. That was long, thanks for coming to my Ted Talk Lol

The brothers shouldn't end up together. Period. I hope they realize better.
