I understand how kou must have felt after nearly losing his wife but that kinda hurt how he treats his own child, now looking at the ending I think he had HUGE character development and he finally ''moved on'' and treats Sou better... This was actually so wholesome and sweet, the way they respect each other even though they are rivals is just so... touching, I love how even though they argue they never degrade each other and work hard to win and they find comfort in being themself with each other around...
