Everytime I read historial stories like this I am grateful to be born in generation where we can actually be ourselves. Imagine living during those times. It didn't matter where you live in the world. Everyone had to fit certain norm and follow strict rules. However, everyone did what they could to survive. It really puts into perspective how far society has come but monarchies that still exist still have to follow these norms but we still got a long way to go as society. Love how historical stories mirrors modern day because we have more freedoom doesn't mean those roles have changed. It just looks different now. It's just observation I notice. It's kinda sad to be honest that these norms are still follow but it just modernized. They still expect a man to provide and protect while a woman give birth to kids and run a household. It's not easy. Even though woman can work now and own their own bank accounts. There still long way to go until everyone finally common ground. No matter what your lifestyle is we are always on survival mode. I hope we get to a place we are all happy and peace with ourselves. It's just a lot undoing generational trauma to traditions that also need to be changed. This story really reflects on how we view the rich now too.
