This is actually kind of sad for Yuan Xu. Like he was never outrightly rude or mean to Xiao Mu and he was always just cold and stand offish. Like as compared to the other two lab mates who bullied and picked on him so much Yuan Cu was always just nonchalant. Other than the times where he could “smell the perfume” and was annoyed by it.
It’s sad that because he is “lying” to Xiao mu he feels bad and wants to distant himself from Xiao Mu so that him as Yuan Xu can get closer to him and they can at least be friendly with one another. But he can’t do that because he has already gotten close to Xiao Mu as Andrew and he doesn’t know how to Durant himself without hurting both him and Xiao Mu.
It’s kind of heartbreaking but heartwarming that he’s trying to at least drop the act. And that he realised his wrongs and is amending for it (although I do hope to hear a sorry from him). He’s actually such a sweet guy but he just doesn’t know how to express it physically. Which is why it’s easier for him to be Andrew and not Yuan Xu.
But what we he did was really shallow, I mean he was closeted and didn’t want to be picked on. But still it’s a really despicable thing to do especially when he could’ve just walked out since nobody was suspecting him at first especially if he didn’t wanna get suspected or idk asked about it. It’s better than him uttering those words to throw onto the other party.
But with that it’s an interesting take because usually it’s the top that is closeted and has internalized homophobia and he starts treating the bottom like trash. I like that they made the bottom to be the one who said it and made the top the more vulnerable and caring one who was willing to take the brunt of the bullying to protect the bottom.
Not saying I like it but it’s nice to see a new kind of trope.

I don’t hate Param. But he’s pretty dumb and clueless. So it’s annoying. I know he eventually gets his act together but sometimes I wanna smack his hand and ask him to get his shit together. I still love them both so yes. And I hope Han dies.
I don’t really wanna jump at the idea that the new guy might be a new male interest. Because he seems like the kind of best friend guy that Felix will get close to and like rely on since he’s new at the company.
I hope new guy also has a separate relationship. That’d be cute to see like the Ukes of two relationships becoming best friends or at least buddies and hanging out. I’m really manifesting this because not only is Felix really insecure, Gio is too. Like they’re both clingy and rely on one another a lot. But because of the complete difference in status at work. Felix will be criticised if he clings to Gio of course so I feel like if he relies on new guy. It’s be balanced.
And it’d be nice to see Gio jealous.
They should just talk about their goals and what they prioritise. It’s obvious that black hair prioritises his Liv elude more because he’s already had his succuesscul career moment. Meanwhile, Kaneda obviously hasn’t had a big career moment which is why his passion is so much more atm. They both love their jobs and each other but because they are at different stages of their lives they think that the other party will think the same way they do.
I hope they talk about it and I hope that Kaneda at least brings it up to Yanase before he makes such a big decision. An I’m not saying that he must listen to Yanase’s words but I think it’ll make Yamasaki feel more at ease knowing that he isn’t doing anything without considering their relationship that might be strained. Yamada also shouldn’t be controlling on whether or not Kaneda decides to work for the other company or not.
