Any similar manga where a jerk seme gradually become nicer?

Kazu April 1, 2025 10:45 pm

I came here to compare the first ep with the manga and boiiii, the anime did the second guardian dirty. I like the manga much more. The little interactions give side characters more depth, not to mention MC has more personality here. He even get to say he loves the girl when she confessed. The only good thing about anime is how it starts with the full backstory.

Onto the story...I hate how all this conflict started because the characters involved aren't straightforward with how they really feel. And MC is ok with killing his sister all of a sudden? The sister too with the princess? AND THIS ALL STARTED CUZ THE OLD MAN WANTED HIS SON TO GET HIS UNREQUITED LOVE????! Brother, even the third wheel was rooting for the real couple. It's so dumb. And I don't like the character MC become later so...

TLDR: probably won't read this

Kazu April 1, 2025 9:01 pm

Wth is this nonsensical logic? She about to give up cuz human lifespan is short and she doesn't want to get hurt? I'm perfectly ok with Rider as the sole guardian

Rider is one too. She's the one who put the kid in trouble in the first place. And now she's making all these excuses. UNACCEPTABLE! *read in lemongrass voice*

They are not humans, and she has less exposure to humans than rider, of course rider will know better than her. To her humans are like what aliens are to us. Give her some slack y'know as long as she realizes and gets mori back its okay, she's not perfect but she loves mori that's why she's afraid of being attached to him, because of the notion that humans have small life spans.

    daisyintherain April 2, 2025 12:18 am

are we reading the same thing because she clearly said she wanted to send him back because she though it'd be better for Mori. She was worried that she was keeping him with her for her own happiness, not Mori's. Rider then pointed out that Mori was the one who wanted to stay by their sides.

She was talking about death because she realized how fragile a human's body was. The longer she dragged this out, the weaker Mori became, the easier it was for him to die, so she was about to give up so that Mori could be with human parents where he could become healthy again, as suggested by the Judge or whatever.

I understand but that's still no excuse for me. This is not the time to mope around about being afraid of death after she put Mori through all that, intentionally or not. At the end of the day, she chose the "law" over the kid's safety at the most significant moment. Get him out of that torture cell first, then she can feel whatever she want.

Brother, you think I don't get that? There's no time for doubt after seeing Mori in that state. What makes her think it's a good idea to let Judge keep taking care of him? That's my issue! Get the damn kid out of there first then worry about other things. Let's not forget the fact that she was the reason this situation happened in the first place. And even after witnessing how he is treated, she STILL chose to leave him in their care. She's stuck between the "law" and Mori. If she has time to write a resignation letter, she has time to break Mori out of that hell!

What's logical for you might not be for them because again they are not humans. Feelings are probably one of the things that are weird for them. For us Humans mori is suffering, he wants to be with miria and rider, however that might not come across the same with miria she might think differently because they are another species, to miria it might seem like mori is better of being with their own kind ( humans ) so cut her some slack atleast now she knows how mori feels and will rescue the baby.

You literally said she wanted to give up on Mori because she didn’t want to get hurt and I refuted that. Now you have a different argument which is that she means well but still wrong-headed. But that is the whole character development. Miria loved Mori but she had self-doubts because she wasn’t sure if she could raise a human because guess what she’s a fucking alien who knows nothing about humans. It’s not like her concern is unreasonable. But Rider came in and gave her reassurance and confidence. Character growth comes from inner conflicts, and it’s not like the arc is dragged out. Only 2 chapters have passed since Mori was thrown into a cell.

I personally think it's a plot convenience. I dont hate her but I'm not a fan of whatever happened and how she reacted. That's my opinion. I know a lot of people here loves her, but I like Rider's assertiveness for Mori's safety.

It's not a different argument. Part of the reason she gave up on Mori is not only because she's not sure if she could raise a human child, but also because she's scared of being hurt when he passes away due to short lifespan.

Yes, she's getting a character growth which is good for her. But idc that she's a fking alien cuz guess what?? Rider is alien too!!! And he would not stand still and let Judge continue to force fed Mori.

It's 2 chapters for us but it's 2 weeks for Mori if I remember correctly.

Why are you so heated about my criticism for her? It's my opinion and it's clearly different from yours. Does that mean I can interpret or don't understand the story? That alien girl saw how unstable Mori is every time he sees those alien army thing and then saw how he got worse this past few weeks. AND STILL CHOSE TO LEAVE HIM IN THEIR CARE??! That's my issue with her!

It is a plot convenience and that is perfectly normal it is a story after all it needs to have some type of angst in it. Miria is a complicated character, as she is not well versed in human society unlike rider. So some people might think of her as a weird and even a bad creature, that's also perfectly fine she's an alien after all. Aliens are often associated with mystery and weird things so I do understand if people will see what she did in a different light. What I'm only trying to say is that atleast give her some chance to learn as no one is perfect as long as she does try to overcome the challenges then it's all good.

I'm heated in the moment because of Mori. It doesn't mean I'm not giving her a chance or anything. I know in the end she'll support him. That doesn't change the fact that her ignorance (or I guess lack of action in this case) extended his suffering.

Her ignorance however is justified. I guess you are a very emotional person and that's totally fine. What you are feeling is valid as we are only humans and we can't just let someone suffer and just do nothing about it. However I'm more on the I guess rational or logical side and I tend to rationalize everything I see with practicality so that's why I personally thought of Miria as a complicated being and didn't treated her with how I will treat a human action if she is a human. So don't worry your opinions are valid and I'm intrigued to see many different perspectives on this story, I think that's what makes this story so interesting to me because it evokes people's emotions.

Btw sorry for the long yapping session.

ISIS KNEW THE WHOLE TIME ABOUT THE REAL NEPHTHY AND DIDN'T SPEAK A WORD ABOUT IT?????!!!!

Bro, how delusional can you be!!! (╬ ̄皿 ̄)凸

And ofc like mother like son cuz damn Horus can never be honest with Seth if things don't work out in his favor and he casually talks about murdering a kitten "for Seth"

Idk what makes the author thinks I want to root for Horus.
