It's a BL omegaverse. The story's mythology about fated mates is about a wolf (alpha) and a white deer (omega).
There were 2 childhood friends. One was the alpha prince descended from the wolf, while the omega descended from the white deer was only allowed into the palace because the 2 were confirmed to be fated mates. The prince wanted to defy or question the concept of being tied down to just one person, while the omega wanted to be of use to the prince by trying to become a civil servant/ official (unheard of for an omega and future wife of the king).

Chinese historical setting, shojou, romance, comedy. The FL is one of the painters invited to the palace to draw the emperor. She also draws BL fanfic using the emperor and his white-haired half brother as inspiration. The emperor accidentally finds the fanfic and wants to hunt down the artist. Thus, comedic shenanigans commence. The white haired half brother hides the FL as his "apprentice". The half brother is the 2nd ML, but he's not evil. He maintains friendship with the couple in the end.
