ive been thinking of forming a scanslation group (or a small duo) revolving around picking up bl mangas that were abandoned by scanslation groups? anyone up for that? i have somewhat ""experience"" with typesetting i did for a group (coughc ough it was for a week then i left) so we're both learning and training in it together

it says you need photoshop to do typesetting but dw!! you can opt for photopea since they do the same quality job. i saw someone translate a manhua on a powerpoint presentation once LMAOO

Umm, I could try the translator part since I heard that many mangas are translated into Spanish before they are translated into English. I've been learning Spanish for a few years now. I think I could do a decent job.

I learned how to typeset from all those edits I made back in 6th grade . I also know how to somewhat redraw certain scenes that are easy.

question for bl readers! does it ruin the reading experience if there are uncleaned sfx (sound effects)? do you read the sfx when you read bl?
The SFX? No. But when the words aren't correctly covered over, it's annoying to read.
When it s in English i read it and it feels ok, but for example in Russian it sounds really ridiculous and ruins the mood

I think it’s fucking hilarious. You can guess what it means. For all I know it says ‘squidgy squidgy ur my bitchy’
It's frustrating when I can't understand it but thankfully most of the uncleaned sfx I get are in Korean and I can read it
