I thought later that actually it could be the dowager empress' faction that's trying to kill the emperor, but even still it doesn't make sense if he's the kid, because what, did he lose his memory too? And if it really is him I don't want them together, I'd want her to be faithful to her believes once she finds out. Also, that would make sense cause they wanted a person from another world that incarnated everything that isn't yeon(?), and just fucking let her do her thing and modernize the country for everyone's good.

Well, about that, I was thinking that maybe it not the rebels that are trying to kill him but it could be the fowager empress' faction with that dangerous guy that supports the consort that is like a sister for the emperor. But even if it's not the rebels that tried to kill him, if he was Ryu he should remember like you said. He also should have studied more instead of being so nilly willy and dumping his tasks on others, because Ryu seemed more hardworking and cause that ass of a father he had seemed like the type that wanted results from him, so he would have forced him to take control of the power he had, possibly making him a tyrant. But how could Ryu have ended up on the throne??? There's no way, right? Cause even when he was little they were still rebels and didn't have much of a connection to a royal line. The emperor should've been born to the dowager empress so he should've grown in the palace.
Anyway, it doesn't make any sense to me for the emperor to be Ryu, and if it is so they'll need to explain it pretty damn well for me to accept it. But even so, I'll never accept FL being tricked into getting with the boy, or her possibly accepting the fact. If the emperor really is Ryu agains every better judgement I hope she gets with the black-haired grey circles guy from the organization.
