The author did say they will end up together after horse face suffers much worse than Kim Dan.. And as much as the author wanted to drag out more of the suffering of Kim Dan, he decided not to in consideration of the readers. But in my opinion, it's high time he did that cuz watching Kim Dan hurts real hard I also agree with you when you said how youre curious to see how the author's gonna spin this..
