am the only one who think this story is weird..
i wouldnt question it when i was younger but now i am an adult and a lot of recent shoujo just seem questionable to me
i mean this one, there are so many child abuse for what, 2 volume and possibly more?
i wont call out the water god bc he's not human, i am probably just confused whether this is ok for a shoujo manga which usually tame?
at the same time i get that it read like folktale of horrible events happening to a young child.
also maybe because the art is not that amazing, it feels bare a lot (minimum detail, minimum background) so probably why i couldnt be immersed in it.

this story felt like it chopped into two seasons, during the first year it all focused on the main couple while there js a cute side couple (di and zikui) they dont overshadow them at all. but once they got into second year, suddenly unrelated new characters appeared which only purpose is to make the main couple jealous (the blonde and the black haired guy). yu tong's sister and weiyun's brother are understandable at least but not those two guys.
however if the story want to be tighter, it really should just finish not long after they got together. after that, the plot development just seem unnessary. it read like a korean drama/webtoon now instead of chinese manhwa lol. it feels like author just want to make it longer for more profit no offense.
btw where are di and zikui?? they are mvp when it come to side characters even more than the best friend and sister. it is weird that they suddenly dissappeared.
the amnesia wasnt that bad he still remember he was a transmigrated person, which is the most important memory. he just forgot a few days (or months?) from his initial arrival.
i mean even if he remember those memory now it wont change a thing. maybe he will just come across cain and said hey old friend how are you. and maybe helped him regain his protagonist's position if he cared enough but there is also high probability he will just leave him be. i mean his purpose in coming there is just to continue life in a place written by his sister, it wasnt clear whether he want to live exactly like the character he is in but probably not.
hm thats what lack from this story. A MOTIVE. after transmigrating and run away from that weird place, Satin doesnt have anymore motive. ok maybe he will look for Cain and confirmed he is safe as a friend but then that's as far as their relationship extend from Satin's POV. he wont have anymore business
i didnt realize i had read 50 chapters bc nothing much happened because they kept going in circle with their relationship. as someone else said, nothing actually got solved.
TO SUMMARIZE:
arc 1 - they became temporary partner
arc 2 - the "villain" cancel their partnership so they worked to take it back.
IN SHORT, ARC 2 just allow him to regain his position in ARC 1, sure they are dating now but they dont even imprint. Just be more lovey dovey.

still, i love esper Do's personality. he's really cute and i kinda surprised he kept that act to the end. I mean, he didn't turn 180 degree and Section Chief Lee (mc)'s impression of him didnt change much since the start (same as me), but he still fell for him anyway. To put it well, you dont meed to worry about character's twist. To put it badly, there's no personality development.

but OG Hajin being actually younger than he is sounds interesting... it means on top of being raised in unhealthy environment the original hajin's mental age is also less developed than what people's thought... so the matter of the MC transmigrated as hajin add more purpose which is making "hajin" stand on the same "mental age" or even more with the other characters
