what if bada is actually from previous players batch who already got out but his spirit stayed around to stay as npc. then by inserting the tape the real pi bada get sucked again.
the thing is, we don't even know whether all of them playing the game in the real world (but different plane) or inside something like virtual world? if it's like virtual world it make sense for npc to be unable to get out (having no physical body outside) but if it's still earth but different plane then technically bada can ge out with his own body as long as they broke whatever making the npc/murderer trapped there
i want to add that author really good at misdirection... they make us assume things when we don't even have the whole pictures.
it's bc the characters/players themselves also believed that half-truth, so i agree with the commentor below that they're all unreliable narrator.
but i found it's funny bc obviously this is a mystery where even the characters themselves are confused... so it's weird that we believed everything they all come up with. lol anyway it has been fun for me to get fooled

tbh he's the reason i look forward to read this... he not only has face but also more (like, his dialogues are as sharp as his eyes, and the way he kept riling up the princess and the concubine too lmao, no shame)
the female lead is a bit too hot headed and more brawn than brain let's see how she will develop with the rest of the characters (that one brother who acted cold towards her earlier actually was the only one who seemed genuinely worried about her)
that's said I am a bit conflicted if the male concubine going to be the romance interest. Isn't it weird to be with someone your father used to be with (even if it turned out to be fake) but at the same time he's too pretty to be left alone TT
I saw the rating and I thought this will be good so i read it in one sitting. Well it is not bad, but reading it also frustrating
- the male lead has deeper character than the average male lead which is a good thing, but unfortunately if he's not your type, it'll be less enjoyable. many times I feel like listening to my friend trying to convince me to like her fav, but you know it just don't work. and i can even think it cringe sometimes (and creepy) how much she simps for him because unfortunately fan culture aren't relatable to everyone. recording a video of your fav who you often interact with is just a bit... you know.
- but at least ML and FL are still quite likeable. unfortunately it's not the vase with the rest of the characters. even the emperor and the brother who can influence the plot feel like they only have one brain cell. this include the ex male lead, his own love triangle, and the minor villains. just seeing how dumb they feel, make me feel that it is too deliberate.
- the ex male lead reason to get FL's back was really generic, the same trash reason which now make him trash as well. He was originally quite a deep character when he admitted that seeing FL remind him of his mother's death. but then he just reduced to that trash. not only dissapointing but this is uncomfortable.
oh so that's what we have been overlooked
there's only so much players while there are more casettes
and since one map only have one player, they need to open new map to get new player
so it's possible to fight for resource
new questions tho, it's said one character only have one tape (the previous one will dissapear)
but jaesob had two. and if previous character tape will be replaced with new one, then is there no way to retrieve old memory

i dont remember the past but I don't hate the yellow haired guy.
he wanted to talk to mc about it but ml always stopped him. at least let them talk how would he know anything if he was never given the chance. sure he could mess up and bring trouble to mc, but it would be unintentional. meanwhile, ml has no right to stop mc from meeting people, it's red flag.
moreover ml did it mostly for his own selfishness at least it seems that way to me -- he's full of vinegar. ml even lied a lot to mc. i understand that it's almost a staple to hide or lie about one's identity in online game setting... but it doesn't always have to be. i love online game setting but it always come to this sigh
anyway whatever ml do, it only complicates things. sure it's mc idea at first, but ml totally enabling him just bc he wanted to get close to mc... he really didn't leave good impression on me. i am looking forward how he will be redeemed
if ml isn't the male lead but a side character who has crush towards mc, i know everyone will not defend him like this. you can't do stuff like this and say it's cute because it's for love nah
i think hua cheng is more likeable. he allowed xie lian to experience and witness things by himself to make his own judgement. he also enabled xie lian to do bad things sure but everytime it's xie lian own decisions. he mostly lied when he already close to xie lian like that kiss to exchange spiritual power, and xie lian didn't mind it, that's what i call cute

we got to understand hua cheng character once we got the backstory but at the beginning a lot of people had opinions similar to what you think of this ml, in fact, some side character's fans still think of him like that to this day
so i dont think it's ok to compare a finished story with a new one lol and a novel vs a manhua at that, the storytelling is a lot better in novels than in manhua
tbh I don't like to compare characters either, but I see someone compared them in the comment so it stuck with me. but, since the beginning they're different anyway. maybe because the MC feels different? I feel like XL can take care of himself but this manga MC is worrisome when paired with someone like ML. Also I don't understand your stance, is it ok to think that you support the ML?
I don't really have a stance in this that's why, i respect your thoughts on him, if i were to have one it would be that is too soon to judge him for me i guess? he's being obsessive and that made me a little uncomfortable at first, but i like the story so far
and idk if another person did too but the comment you read was probably mine lol they just seemed similar to me (ml made me remember about how hua cheng acted towards mu qing and feng xin so that's where the feel mostly came from) then i started to think back and the whole lying identity, knowing everything about mc, acting like a noob gamer (when he's actually a pro) so mc will teach him... was so similar to san lang but i didn't commented those and just keep it to myself, they're different characters at the core anyway im not saying they're the same

also I was traumatized with another story. there ML started sweet, helping MC with studying irl while hiding his identity. but later he became very overbearing, using trickc and guilt trip MC to stay in relationships with him. There are also a lot of other stories like that.

maan it was fine if it's just suspecting her as spy but that's intrusion of personal space.. it has no business that their interaction should be drawn like that, there's nothing romantic about it. if it's a novel adaptation i have a feeling that the og novel isn't like this.

i like dahlia but she kept leading the prince on.
and overall the harem happened too easily because of her power. now i know dahlia is really great.
but the best of her personality showcase was when she still tried to get close to hikan. the duality of her inmer monologue and her outwards appearance made her a deeper character. but now she's too much of a happy-go-lucky i cant really feel the tension despite the thickening plot. the scenario with blueport duchess were also great. the rest not so much. teaching the prince who is in love with you "about love" through book, what kind of daydream, and that's was just too convenient to make them interact with each other but again 'teaching love through book'?? it's like teaching about health without eating healthy food

The prince is the only one who is not a love interst in the game and he didn't get to be purified by her yet so his feelings are more true... maybe that's they are dragging this one and she wanted to date before being married so this is her in her dating stage
i know i am not saying he's bad, i like the second prince and in full board to have him with dahlia that's why, why my girl like this. I thought she's trying to date him too but she rejected strongly when meldon asked about her and the prince. that's make me have to rethink again what dahlia actually think about the prince.
