Not people saying heonjae is just a "complicated character" after knowingly and purposely letting jingi walk into his grave. People who think that heonjae just "thought Jingi could just handle it himself" are being delusional. Everything about the story pacing of him realizing Jingi was walking to the tent and myeongil falling and him LITERALLY picking his crush over his hyung who's literally about to die (!!) shows his intentions to remove Jingi cause as he previously mentioned jingi is a threat that he will deal with! He is showing the same obsessive behaviors as he previously shown toward the man HE AMPUTATED!! Like don't get me wrong am I fucked up for cheering for the one literally raping mc, yes absolutely. But 1 heonjae has raped him too and watched him get raped while not doing anything and being frustrated that he wasnt doing the raping and 2. Jingi has had heonjae best interest in mind so his feeling wouldn't get hurt!! Also we don't even know what Jingi did!! Whatever he has done cannot, I repeat, CANNOT be worse than Kidnapping and AMPUTATING someone because he got rejected ╥﹏╥ At least I'm aware about my fucked up ml preference and not trying to reason that's he's "different now". Ma'am, that man looks like he stinks and the only reason you like him its cause he has "white" hair ╥﹏╥ To be honest both Jingi and heonjae deserve to rot in jail and myeongil deserves to be free and happy. So the images that Myeonggi saw involved a minor being sexually assaulted which I would say is worse that Heonjae amputating someone's legs. If Jingi did anything that involved a child it would be worse than whatever Heonjae did which is why Myeonggi ignored Jingi thinking that he was involved, but didn't ignore Heonjar after finding out what he did. Spoiler alert Jingi did not do anything to a child.

Yeah, I didn't know how much you wanted to be spoiled so I kept it vague, but yeah. I think we're in agreement though. Myeonggi was at first scared of Heonjae and Jingi when he read their files because he does realize that they are hardened criminal but I guess it wasn't enough to want to ignore them until he saw the photos and thought Jingi was a pedo. Now that we know Heonjae is working with the uncle to kill Jingi I wonder how Myeonggi will respond if he finds out. I wonder how heart broken Jingi would be finding out that the brother he tried to protect is trying to kill him. I hope we get an update on how long the hiatus is because I'm excited to learn more about how the betrayal will unfold, and how they are going to navigate it when they get out, and about their pasts.

No, the pic didn't involve Jingi and a child, but in the image Myeonggi saw a child being sexually assaulted and thought that Jingi was involved. Ch 65 explains it all but Jingi was not involved he was the victim.
Hey bbg instead of rooting for either of the rapists how about you root for myeonggi escaping the both of them? We all know that won't happen but pointless hope is better than pushing the agenda that being less evil than someone or having a more likeable personality makes you good. The author is obv trying to use the logic of "oh well since one of them is worse the other one HAS to be good" to throw the rape assault and torture BOTH CHARACTERS inflict on myeonggi.
I don't think the author is trying to make either of them seem good because even if anyone starts favoring one character we get reminded of how terrible people they are. Ch 1 ends with Jingi raping some old man which made all readers uncomfortable. For the longest time a lot of people favored Heojae because he was always seen as the poor brother being forced to do bad things with his brother, before people found out why he was in jail. Even in ch 14 Myeonggi says "He [Heonjae] doesn't even hurt people like you do" not knowing what Heonjae went to jail for. Even when people start to like Jingi a little he does something violent to remind people of how terrible he is like in ch 19 where he pinched Myeonggi for refusing him or the nail clippers making a reappearance. Even for Heonjae too. After ch 22 when it seemed like Meyonggi was consenting to having sex with Heonjae we see in ch 23 that Heonjae has fantasies of cutting him. The author does write in scenarios that may make the reader favor one character over the over but not to point of thinking that they're good people. If both characters died and Myeonggi was able to stop gambling and live his life freely I think that would be the best case scenario. But I think it's ok for people to make arguments over which character they favor over the other without you assuming they think the character is good. There are plenty of comments that make the statement "I think both characters do bad things but I favor this character more because ..." Obviously it's fucked up of someone completely ignores the wrong doings of a character but people are allowed to want a better understanding of why a character is the way they are. If the story makes tou so upset then stop reading it. It's ok to just say fuck this story, fuck the characters, and just remove it from your reading list so you don't get updates. You should spend more time reading stories you think are interesting.
As my knight in shining armor ( @peach276 lol I jest), The author never makes it seem like Jingi is better than Heonjae or vice versa. They are both really fucked up individuals. As I stated in my original comment, myeonggi deserves to be free and happy. He didn't commit a crime comparable to what Heonjae did and Jingi commits everyday. However, I will admit that when it comes to appearances I am generally more attracted to Jingi. So yes I do think he's physically hot but he is deplorable in this manhwa. Myeonggi deserves a happy ending and in reality he doesn't deserve to be mixed in with such egregious criminals. I prefer Jingi out of Jingi and Heonjae. Not as a endgame for myeongii but as a character. Especially after learning what will be revealed on the upcoming chapter/end of this season. I have always, since I started reading this thought that the Heonjae fan were confusing. He is not any better than Jingi and he has always given me the creeps. Although Jingi is disgusting he is openly evil while Heo has acted as the "poor brother", even though he has been an accessory to jingis action and has committed a savage inhumane crime. So I made my original comment. I don't read this for a love story, but more as a Horror manhwa and as a reader I have the right to have a preference or pick a side. You have the power to drop this manhwa if you have the characters so much.
